Could you imagine the price if jacks were made in the US or Canada?

Aren't all (or most) of US Jacks products Made in the USA? Home | U.S. Jack (usjack.com)

They supply most of the jacks used in the armed forces and other gov't agencies under the GSA contract.

I might be wrong though. I've never bought any of their products. Too expensive for my home and amateur off-road use. However, if I used it day-in and day-out for work (like if I operated a roadside assistance or towing company) I would definitely look into getting their products.

That makes since. I thought about it last night thinking it would be good for repairs and other things besides just being stuck. No, a High Lift is unstable as hell-never change a tire that way. There have been times we just lift as high as we can and push over sideways to move the truck. But as you state, you need jacking points.
As far as getting one under the truck if stuck, that is not easy, meaning floor type jack

Yeah, I probably wouldn't buy anything from HF for daily, constant use. They have a lot of great stuff, and we got our generator from there, but if I'm running a business, I'm probably not buying my essentials from there.

That's precisely what I was thinking. But it's probably going to last you at least twice as long.

Don't let all of the "'MURICA!" marketing of the Pro Eagle products fool you. It's a China product too. I won't say they "hide" the country of origin on their website (since they'll answer honestly when asked - see below) but they make it pretty damned hard to find. They don't list country of origin on their individual product pages, FAQ section, or their About Us page. When you look at it that way, it makes giving them money a hard proposition. At least, for me.

Side note: I'm not a Pro Eagle "hater" or a particularly big fan of Harbor Freight. But, I've worked in marketing/advertising for the past 18+ years and I can spot when a company purposefully makes information hard to find for the consumer. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah, I am not a fan of those marketting gimmicks either, especially when they price it like its made in the USA. Although I will say that if they truly are tested 100% in the USA, it makes it alittle better. Coming from the manufacturing industry, we do not trust chinese testing and always do our own testing/verification here.

I really hate that they say "Our blah-blah-blah is made here". I'm probably just being nit picky, but why do they have to be so specific? Just say "all of our products". That goes for any company doing that. I get that this is probably on the specific product

Yeah, but not 2x the cost of Harbor Freight better.

Very true. Pro Eagle would get a lot more respect from me (as a professional) if they would lean into that particular detail.

They could have an answer in their FAQ section that flat out said, "While our products are manufactured in China, our product engineering team and testing facility is right here in the USA. Our products cost more than the competition because we go the extra mile to do all of our QA and duty cycle testing in our own US facility located in Torrence, CA. We locally employ [X number of people] who are specifically dedicated to designing and testing our products to ensure they will exceed any and all of your expectations." They could even link to a short video showing some of their in-house testing.

If they did that, instead of "hiding" it...my opinion of Pro Eagle would do a 180. However, they don't need my marketing advice. I've seen their setup at KoH firsthand. They're clearly doing quite well on their own. haha.

Yeah they do have a good product that is quite niche and they dont have to worry about going the extra mile since they have the reputation and almost no competition. Time will tell if they feel a significant impact from the harbor frieght jack. This type of product has another thing going for it which is mechanical simplicity.

So just some food for thought on this topic.

I had this jack and sold it. Appeared to be well made, and even though it’s made out of aluminum, it’s still massive and quite heavy. If you’re planning to use the jack for both home use and taking on the trail then it’s a great option, but if it’s for just off-roading then maybe look to shave some weight and not have a 75lb projectile ready to fly. For the same price you spend on this jack you can piece together a safe-jack or save some coin and grab a unijack (route I went).

I bought mine thinking it would live in my truck. To @dittothat point, it rarely does. Works great for my shade tree work in my gravel driveway though. Moves around much easier and it gets my wheels off the ground easier than My 25yr old craftsman floor Jack that I would have to pump up like 100 times just to get it to full extension.

Dumb question, I have a Hi-Lift, but I’ve never used it on a Tundra, but rather equipment, post removal and when I bury my ZTR. Do you have sliders or something that you are able to lift from?

Humor me and answer the dumb question .
While I no longer go on the Rubicon(I don't have a Toyota solid axle truck anymore) I do still use the jack occasionally. I have used the slide hitch hole in emergencies on the 2nd gens and my 2000 has receivers front and back.
    When you bury your ZTR?
