IMG_6462.jpg Got the O hollowed out and after 4 attempts of cutting the 3mm Perspex I finally got it good enough for now.

Tried the EL wire first. Easy to work with flexible and can go around the letter several times. Bright enough, maybe....IMG_6456.jpgIMG_6458.jpgIMG_6457.jpg

IMG_6459.jpg IMG_6460.jpg IMG_6461.jpg Then tired the led strips. It's too wide doesn't fit that well and only able to fit 1 run, not as flexible as the el, but definately britghter.

How you take off the letters? Is it hard?

I'm gonna try 2 different kinds of lights, EL wire (red and white) and led white led strips. And 2 different thicknesses of Perspex. I plan to dremel out the back side put the lights inside the hollowed area, and then back it with either 1mm or 3 mm Perspex. Initial thought is the the el wire won't be bright enough but the led strips will be. May paint the inside of the letters with a chrome paint to help with light reflection. Also I think the 3mm Perspex will be better as it would let more light escape. May also trim the Perspex so it sticks out a bit from the edge of the letters. Just gonna do one letter for now and see how it turns out.

I haven't removed my letters yet as I bought these but they don't screw in, theybhave alignment pins and doubles sided tape. They should come off similar to badges, just have to work around the pins.

I seen one the other day that was lit, and it was sharp. Couldn't tell ya if it was a Taco or a Tundra. Couldn't look at anything but the grill

There's an aluminum tape used for HVAC that I've used in the past when making reflector bowls for lights. You might find this more reflective than paint? https://www.amazon.com/3311-Silver-Aluminum-Multiple-Sizes/dp/B00O9R4K7O
