That is an aftermaket piece to replace the factory pad that sits in there. Storage, coin holder, and those fins hold a phone on its side tilted to driver for easier viewing.

    Well done!!

I went from a '00 to a '19 two years ago and I can tell you that you won't regret your decision.

Loved my 1st gen, and it was going strong w/205K miles when I sold it, but the gobs more HP/TQ is nice to have.

Thanks! My gen 1 Tundra did me right! I wheeled that thing HARD in the Tahoe area for about 6 years. I put front and rear powertrax lockers in it and the thing felt like it could climb vertical walls of snow. I love the sheer power of the 5.7. The 19 is funny, it's like right before they started putting dozens of cameras and silly tech in it I'll never use. I like the backup camera, but that's plenty. I was really on the fence about that 23 Capstone. I am SO glad I passed on that...it's still on the lot, but without a sticker. Wonder why.

Thanks! Clearly I need to start reading up here! So many things to do: trans cooler, new shoes, I'm already hating on this head unit/nav system, ARB locker...Thankfully I'm made of money. (joke, of course)

Front camera is pretty handy! Fortunately you can install that and solve the horrid head unit/nav all in one little mod.

As well as monitor trans temps and other gauges, TPMS, and throw in Netflix, Prime. etc. for road trips.

Illegal, ill-advised, super freaking awesome, so often these things run so close together.

*DISCLAIMER* I do not watch, nor do I recommend others to watch movies while driving. Particularly those who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

I may or may not listen and occasionally glance while my wife watches on a long road trip. A lot of the time when I'm watching TV at home I'm not really watching so much as just listening.

So the Kenwood DMX1057XR (among others) has a screen mirroring function where you can share whatever is on your Samsung screen. It also has HDMI IN so you can plug in a firestick w/hotspot or a USB-C to HDMI cord from your device.

My old Tundra had a Pioneer with DVD player and on road trips we'd stop at the Redbox and pick up a movie or two, then return them at the Redbox a couple hundred miles down the road and get another. Great way to pass a long drive.

Again, if someone can't trust themselves to keep safe driving as the top priority DO NOT do this.

I'm a little scared that when you post "OK that looks illegal" the one who "Likes" the post is @Leo's first :rolleyes:
