More than enough. I bought my house because we really only have one direct neighbor - they are terrible renters that I wouldn’t piss on if they were on fire. We have about 9 houses on my section of street and I like the people in one… about my average in everyday life.

I actually like my sheriff neighbor more than I thought i would, still skeptical, but he’s a good dude. He’s not home a lot, but I usually tell him when I’m out of town. I know he can do more, but I always try and look out for him too.

Not sure if I’ve shared this with you;
When my old lady stayed at condo…..
some weird sales person came to the gate while I was smoking, and asked if I had a hose……. Well what kinda hose are you looking for……..
Turns out the neighbors house was on fire!!!!!
At first I was like na I’m not buying what your selling, I then thought to myself, we share a wall, im way to high to deal with this!!!! so I went out, yep, their house is on fire…….. I went over with our hose, broke the window, it was magical, and started hosing down the inside of this room until the professionals got there……
The professionals basically said I wasn’t very smart for doing that, but thanked me kinda? They said the TStat and smoke alarms melted off the walls and I could have started a back draft……..
I almost felt like I foiled a insurance claim………. But they were super appreciative!
I had to leave to pick up Nicole from work while all this was going on, I felt like a serial arsonist with the glares cast upon me!!!!

Ha. I hadn’t heard this story. Can’t a guy just smoke a little ganja and chill? Nope - volunteer firefighter.

Only fire I had to put out was when a game of flaming tennis ball got a little out of hand. Our buddy decided to pour more gas on the already lit ball and let flame chase up to the gas can. He then proceeded to throw the flaming gas can across Sam’s back yard. I was sure the fire dept would be needed but we managed to get it out before anything too crazy due to Sam’s dad having about 40 extinguishers in the garage from his TFD / U of A / Amphi Public School days. Guess where the olds ones went when his got replaced every year?
