Did you go to the expo Rex? If so, what'd think?

We ended up calling it The Overload Expo after the first day.

Lots of very cool stuff but, man, the price of some of that gear was a bit over the top. Drop a grand here, drop a grand there, holy mackerel!

I was shocked that my wife kept wanting to go back and look at the Vagabond pop-up camper. Even after going back and forth between the Hallmark and Four Wheel Campers pop-ups she would gravitate back to the Vagabond.

If Vagabond had one for the Tundra we would have written the check on the spot and picked it up while we're in Sacramento next month. They're saying they should have one by fall but ii feel the impulse will probably have passed by then. We'll see.

That and the Alu-Cab awning and we'd be good to go. Oh, and an ARB fridge. Probably some nice shocks too. Oh, can't forget UCA's then either.

 

I wish I made it! Even had the days off but I’ve been having some issues with my back that kept me in bed for 4 days straight lol.

Yeah that crowd is annoying, and stuff is expensive. But, I like looking at everything haha.

From what I could tell on social media though it looked pretty sweet this year. Hopefully make it up next year!

They send those out like twice a year don't they?

 

I think it’s actually 3 times. Should be one in fall sometime. They had one in March, then this one then one more I believe.

 

There are plenty of other fridge mfgs that make a great product and are far less than ARB. Just saying.

 

I'm new to the fridge market, which other mfgs should be considered?

I am no master and have no experience but I know that dometic and snowmaster are popular. There is also National Luna but I think they are $$$$

Kyle already mentioned a few, there is one other one I have had my eye on for a while.....been thinking of getting a group buy together on it. Shopping the few vendors that supply it. Ill hit you up some more details in a little.

For the fridge conversation, there are a lot of good brands out there in various price ranges, but whatever brand you go with, make sure it has a Danfoss compressor.

I know Dometic and ARB use them as well as some of the others. for us it came down to what fit in our space and it was a Dometic.

 

Can anybody tell me where I can find the AZ TUNDRA decal? I want to represent!

Thinking real seriously about selling my Tacoma (2011, DCLB, TRD Sport)to put toward a tundra with more leg room in the rear.

 

Dude getting out of my taco and into the tundra was the best thing I ever did. No regrets

They offered 17,000 for my Tacoma. And we talked numbers for both the 2016 and a new Tundra.
Decided to hold off for now, rather sell my Tacoma on my own if I do, and if I'm going to buy used I'd rather do that private party also. My truck is paid off, so not really interested in a truck payment at the moment.

 

I bought my 2016 CM off Craigslist with only 8900 miles on it. Good deals pop up every once in a while if your patient and look constantly. Saved a ton of money not having to pay sales tax on private party sale. I doubt I'll ever buy from dealer again, too much BS and funky number games.

 

Anyone doing anything cool for the 4th?
