My pyrometer was awol, a new one came late last night, I just measured the surface of the spare & resonator not running in the garage, both are 101. I need to go out in a few hours & will take readings after I drive a bit.

Short 2 mile trip, Current ambient is 99. Numbers are as follows. Resonator is 250, spare closest to the resonator is 125, tires I was driving on are 123-130. thinking I'm ok.

The I96 is a spring under leaf pack so you'll need a SUA kit. Depending on your load weight etc you may want to up to the HD version. I have the normal i96 and it's fine until I load all the camping gear in but that's not very often.

I was worried about carrier bearing and brake lines if I step to the 2” lift HD pack -
With the shackle that would be just over 3.5”. It looks like the only leaf pack that doesn’t go under the axle tube (I think) says it’s a no go for crew max trucks… :notsure:

I think you won't need the shackles but I could be wrong. Deaver also has custom packs. How much weight you got back there? We've got the deaver pack off the old mans rig that's spring over. But might be a little heavy since designed for gear in the back.

My rig is heavy AF but not a ton in back. Daily driving it’s about 6800-6900lbs. Loaded for a weekend or towing it’s probably in the 7,500-7,700 range.

k37s from deaver aren't rated for the weight over the rear axle with the extra mass of the cab and more rearward, especially loaded. You're in u748 territory. this is the route that I went because of the extra 300+ish pounds between chase rack and 2 37s which at this point basically live in the back of the truck.

the leafs are longer overall and absolutely require longer shackles to support. I believe the accepted consensus is the TC/SDHQ is the route to go with it, but I disagree and the longer length of the camburg's is necessary to support the increased length of the pack, eyelet to eyelet of camburg is 6" on center.

for carrier bearing drop...Ekstrom has spacers for 3-4" that will work well.

I implore that you look into longer shocks that support the extra droop travel you will get:
@AccuTune Offroad custom length https://accutuneoffroad.com/product...r-2-5-series-remote-reservoir-1-5-3-lift-dsc/ rear shocks.
    IVD RxT
Shock relocation (camburg or T/C) with 12 inch stroke shock.

    Other Items:
Plan accordingly for bump stops and/or extensions to minimize leaf setting induced by negative arch at bump.
extended rear brake lines are non-negotiable if you are using anything other than a direct OE length shock.
    Limit straps are highly recommended.
Also look into the SDHQ trac bars for noticeable performance increase and to help prevent premature leaf setting from axle wrap...

Been disappointed in one way(or more) with every mail order leaf spring I’ve owned. Might be too far for you, but be better to have exactly the spring pack you want made here in Phoenix, and then have the ability to service/make changes?

That was my plan at some point, but just decided to give the deavers a shot. Leafs are a maintenance/consumable item in my opinion, so when that time comes I'll revisit it...or even better full cage and back half with links....:der::rofl:

Valley Spring made the replacement rear leaf springs for my son's 1960 Oldsmobile almost 20 years ago. They allowed me to watch the whole process. It was cool!
Highly recommend them for any vehicle or setup.

Man I am freaking out... my son went in for knee surgery and when they took the tube out he had a bad episode that made his lungs fill with blood and fluid. He is in ICU with Doctors everywhere in his room and he has a catheter and heart monitors. He is coughing up blood and fluid.

He is a Marine that chased Bin Laden for years, came home and is now a Deputy Sherriff and works at the Prison for a second job. Nothing but good and serving the public all his life now fighting in the hospital over a knee surgery. This is just not right. Come on Jason, you got this!!!
