Hmm I guess the presale gets me them first? I guess I've been on the Tacoma and Tundra forums long enough to be clinical. Say I wait till they are shipping and I can see picture will I still be with waiting 2 months for an order? Looks like we always get 10% off so I guess I have to wonder is 5% off really worth it to me to be with out my money for 2 possibly more months? I don't know I really like the look and easy of this but like I say I'm just a little clinical. Is there a benefit to the preorder that I'm missing?

Also dang 76.25 in shipping was the real reason I didn't hit submit that's a quarter of the cost of the covers. My Prinus rack was free shipping, even most armor has free shipping or like 40ish.

The 30 day warranty is what I'm concerned about. We have no clue how these will hold up to the elements and can't return them once they're installed. So you have to go based solely on how they look when new. So I'm giving up a 5% discount to not be a guinea pig and wait for others to post their results. Seems like too much to risk for just a few bucks.

 

I went on the Tacoma forums to check how people are liking the skins they have done for the Tacoma bumpers. People love them, and they have been holding up excellent. People say they look just like new after two years.

We should. Our timeline is looking pretty good. Once we have a live truck, that's when I'll shoot and edit the install vid!

The main benefit to pre-ordering is that you'll get 15% off and be first in the shipping queue. We're looking at shipping the end of May, but hope to be shipping out stock colors soon, if we can.

There's not going to be anything "guinea pig" about this. We're going to be testing and refining on a live truck with someone local to Rocklin before we ship out. We're not going to ship until they're exactly as they should be. As @Rb123 mentioned in the post above, we've had customers with these products on for YEARS. We only use high quality plastics. We operate off of the business model that American-made products should last a long, long time.

 

@EC1 noticed on checkout paying with Google pay shipping was more expensive, than paying using the same card without Google pay. Is this something on your end or is there fees I'm not aware of with Google? Either way thanks for the discount, wasn't going to order but this about covered the shipping.

 

That's bizarre... I'm going to DM you to get a little more personal information. We use a third-party app on Shopify to populate shipping, so that should be happening, but with some extra info I'll be able to look into it further.

For those on the fence Even with the high cost of shipping this is still half the price of buying parts and getting them painted. (Shipping for OEM parts higher than this if cannot get them on sale)

The painted ones likely will have to be in batches and they'll ship a couple at a time, we only have one painter and one paint booth. But the hope is that we will be able to ship all the pre-orders of the stock colors in one day. As long as we have enough workers it should happen. But we will focus all of our energy on making sure the stock color pre-orders go out before the end of May.

Wish I knew! All I know is that when I was walking around the shop looking for my boss yesterday, I saw the CAD render pulled up on the owner's computer, so it feels like that product might be next... but I haven't been told to start collecting emails yet.

Yes! They are the exact same! I will be changing the option to reflect the color code for all those confused.

Attitude is what they used to call Midnight Black. Just like how Super White II is now "Ice Cap"

 

Just ordered one in Lunar Rock. Once I get it and the backordered black window molding I'll knock out chrome delete on everything but the door handles.
