Mine is tighter on the left bottom where the 2 pieces meet, but I used blackout tape on both sides because I knew it’s near impossible to get 100%.
During dry fit I realized that the angles and lines aren’t 100% to start with. Really close but you’ll never achieve 100%

if you look at body gaps/lines on factory part by the hood/grill it’s not 100% either.

Mine sits higher than the hood on the passenger’s side/corner. Drivers side is pretty flush but you can look and see it’s firmly attached to the chrome grill beneath it.

Color matched door handle covers and bumper caps arrived today. Install was easy, and the colors matched great.

I'm not sure the tape was even necessary for the handle covers because they snap on very tight. The driver door handle also had very good coverage of the keyhole.

All that's left now is the window trim. Factory parts, vinyl wrap, or wait for chromestoppers to release covers?
    20231101_164937.jpg 20231101_172029.jpg 20231101_173102.jpg 20231101_164956.jpg 20231101_170512.jpg 20231101_170021.jpg

Edit: The driver door handle cover does cover the touch sensor to lock the doors on the top of the handle, however that doesn't affect me because I never use it. The unlock touch sensor on the inside of the handle still functions as normal.

I was curious about this. I love using the sensor on the top of the handle.

I saw your message after this, but it's pretty brainless. We recommend doing a dry fit to practice. There's no limit on how many times you can practice. This isn't the day before the Super Bowl and no one has seen the gridiron for 2 weeks.

I'll let Trim Illusion know your thoughts. We have to order more door handles anyway. Might as well give some feed back.

ALL Door handles purchased before TRD Jon released an install video for the mustache should be at the paint booth in Auburn.

    @Phroggunner6172 does it??? :fingerscrossed:

SEMA 2023 Spotlight: BumperShellz Triumphs... and Here’s Why!

I've got some electrifying news. As the minds and muscle behind BumperShellz, we’re beyond thrilled to announce that we clinched the runner-up position in the "Best New Van/PickUp/Sport-Utility Product" category at SEMA Show 2023. Remember: there’s no second or third place. Just the crème de la crème... and us

For those yet to experience the BumperShellz difference, now might be the time. Not just because SEMA recognized us, but because your Tundra deserves the best. Dive into the collection if curiosity's got you.

Thanks for being a pivotal part of our journey. Here’s to making noise and turning heads, on and off the SEMA floor.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the tape as added security. I was just surprised at how secure the door handle covers felt (and how difficult they were to remove) when I did the test fit prior to removing the tape backing.

I just tried again and couldn't get the lock function to work by touching or pressing on the handle. The area is completely covered. I still think it's a great product, and the best long term solution I've seen to dechrome the handles with minimal cost and effort.

Hmm, that’s disappointing…and an issue if the touch locking mechanism doesn’t work. That certainly wasn’t in the description specifications. I use the touch feature every day.

Wow... alright. I'll have to give Trim Illusion a call and see if that's intended or if they have some kind of workaround for that. Adding a simple overlay shouldn't impact the functionality of the vehicle.

It looks so much better now!

What did you use for the fog lamp bezel "TUNDRA" in lay? It looks like TufSkinz

Hi friends, I have a Midnight Black Metallic, I'm wanting to get the grill surround, door handles, and rear bumpers..my question is when get in the site, the painted to match option is crossed out for Midnight Black Metallic, however there is an option for the acrylic in Midnight Black Metallic. I called customer service and they said that the acrylic isn’t a perfect match to my paint even though it has the same paint code. Will the acrylic be the only option in the future or will the painted to match be available again? Any feedback would be helpful, thanks!

Which website? Sounds like I made a mistake in coding. BOTH options should be available.

EDIT: I found the error and fixed it. You should now see it as an available purchase option. I'll send you a private message just to be safe.

That's what happens when you have a position dedicated to ALL internet interactions. ;)
Seriously, though. It was basically just flipping a switch. I told it to sell even if the stock hits 0, but I also added stock just to be safe.

Window Trim: Last I heard we're aiming for the end of the year. We have what we need for the EXTENDED cab, but we need to do a scan on the crew cab. I'm working on bringing someone in to do the scan as we speak! :boink: @digitalwiz

Tailgate handle: We're looking into it, but I can't make you any promises right now. We ARE working on the tailgate spoiler, though. Slowly, but surely.

Thanks for the purchase! We're a small, family-owned-and-operated business; we can live and die by customer service.

Were here even AFTER the sale. If you have trouble with your install you can always call us. Someone will pick up if it's between 8am and 4pm (Pacific) on a weekday and it'll never be someone overseas. Just ask for Grant and he can walk you through the install... that goes for ANYONE looking for help
