I spoke with the R&D Team and they will look into this. I'll be creating a form because we are curious was to why this is wanted and if it's just the people who have them in chrome or black. Is it because ya'll don't like the "TUNDRA" imprint? We will likely make them without the TUNDRA imprint, so we don't get slapped with a Cease and Desist.

Spoke with the team and I had to update the pricing slightly. It's still ballparked out, but the range increased a bit.

I can't guarantee a COLOR MATCH, but we are looking into finding door handle covers to complete the ensemble.

You can still order and get the discount! With ANY LUCK we actually might have Lunar Rock available at launch, talked with our painter on Friday and Lunar Rock just makes sense for us economically... there's the 2.5 gen Tundra, Current Tacoma AND NOW the 3rd gen Tundra. It's a no-brainer.
We are looking at having parts ready to ship in 30 days. (4to 6 additional weeks for hand-painted parts)

 

I wanted to add on here and say we are also working on window trim and mirror covers.

 

i don’t think it’s about covering the tundra stamp, it’s more about creating a look like this truck here

 

I see. We'd still likely cover up the "TUNDRA" unless we find out it's not trademarked. I still posted a thing so the people can weigh in

 

I got the MGM color matched front bumper overlays for my ‘20 three years ago and couldn’t be happier. Easy installation (held on by heavy duty automotive adhesive tape), fit and finish is top notch, they have held up quite well so far, and I’m still very happy

I got approval for Lunar Rock, we're painting a scrap and checking it against a truck at the dealership on Monday. If it's not available at launch, it will be soon after launch. However, I'm in charge of the website... So I'll likely make it a purchase option.

 

Yep…that one…I’d buy that.

Also would like to see these with real pictures on a real truck….need to see it first.

I agree. A live video with up close installed with OEM paint match, and installation would be nice. If quality and paint are perfect match to OEM, count me in for a buyer.

 

I can't get any videos until the part is complete. We're still perfecting the look and fitment to make sure these are just the way we want them. However, what I can tell you is the OEM color match is Toyota's own colors.

For the hand painting we get the colors from a PPG certified store in Auburn and paint them there.

For paint filmed (Ice Cap, MGM, Midnight Black etc.) they are Toyota's own colors and if we ever get a return the reason has never been "Color doesn't Match".

Have you had a lot of requests for Supersonic Red?

 

I second this question for supersonic red … I was hopeful for inferno with gen 2.5, but never got it.
I suppose I should go fill out the interest form and mark down supersonic…

 

Unfortunately not enough to justify offering it in a non-limited run. Red is an incredibly expensive paint, but we're willing to do it custom at a premium. If you want to discuss pricing, DM me!

This red is really hard to match. It would probably be cheaper to wrap the whole truck a different color, than color match all of the individual pieces.

We'll actually be discussing 1J9 in an upcoming meeting. If you sign up on the form, it'll give me more convincing evidence to push for that color!

Didn't realize Voodoo Blue was an option for the new Tundra! I checked the Toyota website and everything... am I wrong? Is TOYOTA wrong?!

I’m curious to see how this fits over the grill surround. As it comes stock, the grill surround is flush with the hood and all surrounding body parts. It seems like this overlay would make the surround sit “higher” but I’ve also never seen the application in person. Excited for what could be! Really want to ditch the chrome but Hard to spend $700 for a new paint-matched grill surround
