With my experiences of "losing" nice metal air valve caps at tire stores, having a plastic cap for taking it to the dealer might be nice.

So I ended up talking to the Rockwall Toyota manager again today, and he told me "we are also not going to warranty this because this is clearly a case of the customer not maintaining their vehicle. Its obvious they didn't follow the battery maintenance schedule". I asked him to please explain what a 9 month old sealed battery maintenance schedule looks like. He was at a loss for words. His comment definitely would get at least a nomination for one of the dumbest things I've ever heard from a dealership.

This Rockwall outfit sounds pretty bad.

Was this the service Manager? I would be asking for the GM if not already.

Wow, what an idiot the service manager is.
I just spent the past 30 minutes of my life (that I will never get back) looking for the battery maintenance requirement for my truck in the maintenance and owners manual.
The only thing that comes close is "check battery terminal for loose or corrosion, check battery support"
This manager needs to show you in the manual the maint requirement.
Have you taken it anywhere to check the output of the alternator and input going to the battery?

I hope you found the Toyota warranty dispute number in the owners manual and the number of a good lawyer in the google.
Good luck with this, I hope you get it resolved.

I am thinking about emailing Don and tell him he needs to clean up his shop. He is being roasted on the Tundra forum.

    None.....yet
That specific dealership also charges several dollars more for parts! I bought our filter from them for our Tundra and it was $4 higher then any other dealership in town! I recommend avoiding that dealership like the plague!

They sent me an offer this week on my Tundra stating that incentives are great right now and they would give me $34,xxx plus another $1k. Signed by the GM and stated they could even lower my payment. I pulled up their website and basically laid it out in an email why I will never go back there. Have not heard one peep out of them. This morning I tried to email the GM directly but could only manage to send one to the sales manager. I got off their contact list a couple of years ago so I am ticked off that here they are sending me worthless crap again. I told them to get me off the list permanently or every time I get on of these BS offers from them they will receive an email from me stating past experiences and why I won't be back.

    Fwiw,

A complaint to NHTSA will carry more than a complaint to the BBB.

So far, I have not enjoyed my experience with Toyota corporate...

BBB is not what people think it is but they did help get money back on a Olsmobile tranny rebuild. Also alerted me to the main bearing issue on the 305s. I was thinking about trading it when I was stopped at stop sign. When I saw the oil pressure drop I pulled in to the nearest dealer and never drove it again.
