Auto stop/start disable

I've had this for almost 2 months and it works great. I even forget it's there! Highly recommend

 

Yep mine works great. Don’t even think about it much anymore. Only down side to this thing is if you remote start your truck, then when you get in and the truck turns off the dongle needs about a minute or so to reset.

 

Same, works flawless. Very happy with this mod.

 

Anybody with the hybrid tried this to see if it works?

Since the hybrid doesn't have the off button and it seems like a lot (all?) of responses are from those that are gas only Tundras, was wanting to see if it's possible for this to work on the IForce Max. From what I have seen, many hybrid owners didn't get the truck for the gas savings, just the little extra power. Would like it if the engine didn't turn off every time I slowed down or stopped. Toyota obviously doesn't provide that option for the Max so maybe it just is what it is.

 

Many owners? No one got it for gas savings cuz there is none. Hybrid isnt even marketed that way

 

This would not work for the hybrids since they don't have the stop/start bottom like the gas only trucks.. this plugs in line with that button.

 

That's what I thought too, but I thought if I made a blanket statement as to all buyers of the hybrid not caring about gas mileage, someone would chime in saying that they did. I know I didn't buy another truck looking to pull Prius numbers.

 

Makes sense, was hoping, just maybe, there was an easy workaround available. Like many, I think that starting and stopping the engine more than needed will end up making me pay down the line. Either way, I'll enjoy what I've got for now.

 

The hybrid models have a fuel door release button there instead of the auto start/stop button

 

And the orange signal lamp still lights up on the dashboard, indicating that the s/s is off? Or did it go out and not appear?

 

The orange light stays on letting you know the auto SS is turned off

 

have one in my truck for over a year and works great.

 

Orange light on when started made my Service Manager ask what it was for and if something was wrong.
He has a 21, so he didn’t know what it was for he claimed.No stupid start/stop on his.
He liked the idea of the bypass when I explained it to him.
