I would highly recommend the Fox Shocks upgrade. I have a Pioneer 700-4, and with the stock suspension doing jumps would bottom out on the bumpstops. The Fox Shocks set on level 3 don't do that. It made the vehicle a lot more nimble to where I can go 10mph faster on trails and not feel like it's going to tip over. This on level 3 also.

I wanted to get a 1000-5, but couldn't justify the cost at that time, and I didn't have a trailer wide enough for it. I had a Rincon ATV, so I was happy with the 680cc engine and know how to work on it. I agree it's tall as hell even my 700. I scrape the roof all the time.

Pros for the Honda are front and rear driveshafts for me. No belts to worry about.

Man, that's just about perfect. Could be a little cooler (low to mid 70s) but the heat just encourages a bit more speed for better natural AC. :burnrubber:

Went riding yesterday, have had this for quite some time now and every time we go out it’s still a shit ton of fun. I am in the market for larger tires…any suggestions? EAB72140-7AE8-43FC-AA5D-500F0403D6EC.jpg

I love my 33" System3 XTR 370s. They work great in my part of the world and System3 stand behind their product. I just wish they offered them in a comp compound.

Does anyone have this style roof on your SXS? Looking into the ranch armor roof with integrated light bars and speakers. Other options would be audioformz fiberglass (better sound not as rugged). Or plastic Honda roof with sound bar and mount my own light bar. One concern on the ranch armor is how top heavy would it make the honda pioneer? I'm told they use 11 gauge steel. Aluminum is an option but doesn't seem worth the cost.

Here's a pic of the ranch armor. I like being able to strap things to this roof especially if you're seating 5.

I’m tackling the storage/cargo issue seating five with one of these -

I’m still waiting to get mine and the quoted lead time has doubled since I ordered but it will check a ton of boxes for our needs. I’m also scared to add any weight up high as I’m somewhat determined to go out in terrain that is the stuff too rough to do in the truck. :burp:

How do you like the Teryx, I am totally looking around for one right now. I know it's definitley not the fastest and it underpowered, but a good rock crawler. I have watched so many youTube videos I am going blind. The only cons I really hear are not a lot of top end power, it's louder than most in the cab and it has an annoying engine whine. I really don't care about not being the fastest, but I do care about engine noise wearing on me. I would really like your honest opinion, as I am looking hard and already talking to dealers.

I have 32" BFG Km3s. No complaints, and it sees everything from dirt roads to sand dunes to slick rock. Something to keep in mind, if you're on the stock 14s there is better tire selection with 15s so might want to upgrade at the same time. Also most people go to a "square" setup meaning same size tires front and back vs the stock having fatties out back. And lastly, just like a truck you'll notice a power loss with larger tires. When I stepped up from the stock big horns I did wheels, tires, and a tune (and clutch work) at the same time. Beadlocks, big tires, and enough extra power to more than make up for the 4" larger tires (I also had a 120hp model though). Food for thought.

Larger tires are probably the single best thing you can do, especially on an X3 let alone a 4 seater!

PSA: If you decide to put new wheels on your SxS try to maintain factory offset. You might think the barrel wheels look neat, but they will make it ride like shit and increase wear on all your suspension and steering components.

We love the KRX. It is a little noisy compared to the RZR but I think the reason for that is the lower gearing which is one of the things I like about it. I wanted a lower geared machine due to the terrain I ride most. It has a lot more room than any of its other competitors and is built much better IMO. I looked at them for over a year and compared them to the RZR and Can-Am X3 side by side. Looking at suspension components and drivetrain components it's obvious where the extra weight comes from. Everything is larger and double sheer. If you plan to ride dunes or desert where speed and power are needed, this may not be the machine for you. If you want room and a superior suspension, the KRX is where it's at. Shock Therapy has a great video explaining the engineering that went in to the KRX suspension. The ride and stability are awesome compared to the RZRs I've been in. They use true dual rate FOX coilovers with crossover rings. They do have spring sag like all the other brands but there are several companies offering replacement primary springs(most people call them tender springs but that term is incorrect in a true dual rate application).

The KRX comes with 31" tires and 15" beadlocks from the factory and will handle 33's and 35's will little to no modification. I put the 33s on mine almost immediately and didn't notice a power difference at all.

As far as engine whine, I don't notice much of a whine and can spend all day in mine without complaints.

They're "Mega Whipz". For context I went to my buddies shop to pickup some parts and said my wife wants whips, and that is what he sold me, so I have no experience or even research into other whips. With that said they work great, are next level beef cake. They have all the usual shit, little remote and a bluetooth app to control the lights and pattern, they also respond to music (bass) apparently. Installation is super easy, just a hot and ground and then route the harness to the lights. To disconnect them you pull a pin and then have to unscrew a little wire connector. They come with a spring loaded base, I only mention this since I see a lot of people pull over for tunnels and stuff and pull their flags and whips off so apparently that's not as common as one would think. They're bright and work, not much else to say :D they do not come with a cage mount, you have to buy those separately.
