Interesting; I clean spots w isopropyl alcohol all the time for stickers and haven't had the skin peel off.

    Couple quick questions for you:

    1. Do you folks mount the awning brackets on the DS? I believe the website just states PS? Also do you think this is a good idea as I’m getting the furnace on the DS. I only want this because I was thinking of mounting a OVS side shower room on the PS and mount a water tank towards the rear of the bed and use the window to pass the nozzle through. Hope that makes sense.

    2. What is your lead time now?

I think it's a safety feature to mount the furnace on the driver's side of the vehicle.

It would be awful to drive away, dragging your propane bottle down the road.

You can easily see the propane bottle, when it's hooked up on the driver's side of the vehicle.

Having the awning on the passenger side seems better to me. But it may be available for either side, if you like.

The furnace is an absolute must!

Yeah think I’m just going to accept the passenger side awning and change my set up a little. Just get one of those outdoor shower pop up shelters. They are cheaper, just have to see how compact they can get to store.

Just gotta add the rear slide window and thermal kit to my quote and I’m going to pull the trigger! I’m super excited but nervous at the same time. Haha.

Something I thought was pretty cool and maybe a way to help heat the toppers for those of you that don’t have the heater that AT Overland offers.

It's a diesel heater, fuel tank, and battery contained into a ~60L Alu-Box. Power source is a Milwaukee M18 tool battery; and the heated air is run through via a flexible hose to a shuttered passthrough on the front of the Habitat.

The box is stored on his roof rack, so the ducting run is only a few feet. Per his video he's getting >10hrs without draining the M18 battery

    Thanks.

I am hoping to get out this weekend will my summit.

    It should be below freezing.

It's costs me less than 50¢ a night with my propane furnace. And I love the thermostat. It stays perfect.

And I use the quiet mode, so I don't get disturbed when it cycles on and off.

It was spendy, but I hope to get many years from it.

It's a blast furnace on high. I could heat my shop with that beast.

I finally have a setup that works for my wife, who's always cold

We had a night below freezing last weekend with it and it was great; looking forward to getting the Thermal Liner installed to it keeps the heat in and has to cycle less frequently. I also ordered a high-temp silicone elbow for it to duct the heat to the sleeping area instead of the truck bed area... Although the next time we'll get to try it out will be after Christmas

If I may be so bold as to ask are you getting any compensation for it? Like did the offer free install or anything? Just curious. Thank you.

Have you weighed the truck yet with all your gear and a full tank of gas? I’m just curious as I ordered a C4 bumper and I’m wanting a full swing out rear bumper and thinking about skid plates and of course the topper and all the gear.

I weighed the truck a while back for some custom springs, the truck is very heavy. I'll attach the photo of the sheet.

Thank you. And yikes your over the GVWR by a couple hundred pounds. So I’m probably going to be over by just as much if not more. How is the ride quality?

Who made your custom leaf springs? And are you using Fox suspension?

Sorry for all the questions I’m just trying to dial in some logistics for the truck build out.

    Thank you

Ride quality is awesome. I had Alcan build the springs for 1800 lbs over stock. The front is ADS 3.0 coilovers and the rear has ADS 3 tube bypasses.
I also have a full bed build including 95 liter fridge and a 25 gallon water tank.

That’s some serious suspension. I’m leaning toward fox 2.5 DSC and custom Deaver leaf springs

What did you think the ball park cost was for your suspension? Trying to get a budget for a few things for the truck.

I can't remember off the top of my head, but it was around 7k ish. We use the truck pretty hard so it was worth it for us.
