@Slp82 how's the ride with the bumper and winch combo? I'm torn between these and the boss kit. My bumpers weighs 185lbs + winch.

Thats interesting. I have 6112/5160s with coachbuilder 1" sitting in the garage waiting for a nice day to install. Was planning to put the 6112s at 1.3 in the front with the 1" shackle on the rear to keep the factory rake. You think I will get more than the 1" factory rake?

Danz, I think OR18TRD suggests setting 1.9 with a 1" shackle to achieve 1" take. Correct OR?

Is this really only a 1.9" setting, factory 275/65s and nothing else in rear?? Looks good.

Correct, I have 5160 in rear, but they are at stock height. The driveway has a slight pitch, but I'd say the truck sits level or has the appearance of a very slight rake due to the curved nose of the truck.

If the current factory rake is about 1", wouldn't setting the 6112s at 1.3 with the 1" shackle be closer to the factory rake than 1.9 in front and 1" in the rear? The 1" CB shackle gives only 0.625" of lift. In fact, leaving the 6112 at the lowest setting would lift it 0.75" which is very close to the 0.625 CB shackle lift. Looking to maintain rake and not level.

This is essentially the kit I ordered, and from the same company -- Boss4x4s. Ordering was easy and delivered quickly. Most importantly though, Darren has provided outstanding support prior to purchase when I had a ton of questions, and afterwards as I had questions about install and other things. He's a really patient and knowledgeable guy. Buy with confidence.

My factory rake is almost 2". I would say about 1.8 or 1.9 depending on the day. It does not always measure the same, but somewhere around there.

Thanks for the explanation. I was already planning to measure the height when I get ready to do the work so yeah, will set it up as necessary to maintain the rake.

Thanks. That's good to know. I measured it when I got the truck but don't recall what the measurements were. Will do it when I get ready to do the work.

HELP!!!!!!!!!! Just purchased the 6112/5100 combo and plan on installing Friday. Everything I have read I mean everything I read says set the 6112 to the 1.9 setting and this will level out your rig. So I built my 6112 at the 1.9 setting and then decided to check how my rig currently sits. My truck is an 2017 crewmax 4x4 and I have ride rite airbags because I have a 28' toyhauler I haul around. my truck currently sits 3" lower in the front then the back. I checked tire pressure everything is good and I measured from center of wheel to inner portion of wheel well. I also verified that the bags were dropped to their minimum pressure so my question is. Should I go to the top setting of the 6112 since I run airbags to get it level or should I maintain the 1.9 setting. any advise would be great. I only want to do this once.
    Thanks

@RiggsTRD did your bags have air in them when you measured? If your 3" lower in the front I'd definitely do top setting, you'll end up with the factory rake until you load up your bed. I wouldn't add anymore lift or block to the rear. You don't get full 3" out of the 6112s, might need to add a @Coachbuilder1 shim if you want it perfectly level.

Borgs you should really wash your truck sometime. That thing is dirty! :bananadance: Thanks, I think I'm going to pass on the rear 1'' shackle and go with just the 1.9 setting front. If I have a bro lean after the 6112s settle down I'll order one up. Thanks for the pictures.

I just installed the bilstein 6112/5160 at1.9” setting. The ride is night and Day from stock setup. Looks level, but I also considered having a rear rake. I have the trd dual exhaust,My question is will the 1” shackles work without modification to the exhaust?

So you want a 1'' shackle in the rear? How come? I have yet to order my 6112s but am on the fence whether I should add a 1'' shackle to the rear for some rake.

For a little rake, I carry a bit of tools in the back. I wanted to know if it’s an option to install shackles without altering the trd tailpipe. I rather have shackles than blocks.

I just ordered the 6112/5160 kit, front and rear aftermarket bump stops and diff drop kit from Wheelers Off-road in Oregon. 1500 and change shipped. Currently running a 3/1 leveling kit with 295/70/r18 Cooper Discoverer AT3. Trimmed the skid plate and zero rubbing. I’m planning on leaving the rear 1” block and setting the 6112s at top setting. I expect to be at a slight factory rake or level as I have decked drawers w/ some gear, KB Voodoo rack and low pro toolbox in the bed at all times. Will post pics and review in a couple of weeks post install. Thanks for all of the good advice/tips and tricks here. Cheers.

Can you do +2 shackles on the rear with stock TRD rear shocks? Or do you need to go to 5160s?

6112/5100. One driver shim. 1.9” up front. Toytec shackle at 1” and replaced leaf spring bushings with the polys. Feels like a whole different truck. And I only had 4500 miles on it when I replaced it all haha. I have exactly 1” of rake based on fender measurements.
