Just saw this. They're rougher compared to the factor bilstiens which I had. They don't give that bottoming out feeling when off-road like the stock bilstiens do. after they break in its a pretty good ride. In my opinion it rides almost like factory but with a controlled feeling when you hit bumps and rough roads. On dirt roads they perform very good better than stock. They don't make the truck ride like a Cadillac in my opinion but they make it feel like a brand new truck. If you're looking for a smooth ride I'd look at kings. These shocks don't get rid of bed bounce. I believe they're a good upgrade from factory I like how my truck rides now but I always have stuff in the bed and a have a trailer hooked up so I was looking for something to stiffen up my ride.
Everyone has different opinions on these shocks it really depends on what a smooth or rough ride is to you. I know guys that swear that their spacer lift rides smooth but those are also the same kinda folks that drive their trucks only around town.

sorry to be clear I have searched but unfortunately I tried to order from two companies yesterday who had it on their website but couldn't deliver until April. The retail websites are showing inventory but Bilstein is out of stock so unless the retailer actually has stock on hand they aren't really available.

Just found a ton on Amazon.com so should be good. I was hoping to buy from one of the members but I guess Amazon it is! Thanks for the help.

You must be really tall, as I am 6' 2" and can't reach the middle of my bed at stock setting.

Keep in mind those probably won't be assembled and will need to take them somewhere to be assembled if you are installing yourself.

Only problem is now I have to pull the trigger! Just a bit worried that with the lower spring rate the 6112's will have a lot more body roll. I think I have read the whole forum and have seen comments both ways. Anyone want to chime in - They would be going on a 2014 1794 Crewmax? It's either these or the 5100's. I do mostly slow city driving empty or winding mountain highways loaded with gear

As in more body roll than stock? Impossible. Just yesterday I was taking a ramp at speed and thought "damn this thing has so little body roll now".

I really like the 6112s set at 2in. Look great, ride great. I'd like to change the rear to 5100s and be done.

In that case what is the best rear lift for towing purposes? Leaf pack?

It'll definitely be nose high. I have them at 1.9" and the nose is just slightly higher than the rear.

I installed 5100s in the back and it does make a big improvement to ride quality compared to the black oem shocks.

Interesting. I have mine installed at 1.9" and they settled in about 1/4" lower in the front.

I should say that my first measurement was right after install. I'm sure they've settled a bit now.

4wheelparts - They don't have them in stock. They said March and recommended I get the 5100's all round instead.

Top setting 6112, nothing in the back yet. Haven't measured recently but when installed it was probably 3/4" bro-lean. I suspect it has settled a bit since.IMG_1680.jpg

My bad...I didn't check to see if they were in stock. I'm sure you spent way more time looking than my silly 1 minute search.

Yes, I just had 6112's put on and a 1" tapered block in the rear. Left me with a little rake, exactly what I was trying to achieve.

Its so damn close. With a tape measure, on my 3rd gen, 6112s at 1.9in (one from highest) is within a few 1/10 of an inch of the rear. If I went to the highest setting, no doubt I would be nose high by atleast .25 inches.
