Haha yeah lots of options. This seems to be the most affordable and actually provides some improvement as well. You didn’t have enough of a delta angle to need a diff drop?

TRD pro comes with 2” of lift and has nothing to change the axle angles. At 1.9, you’re technically lower than an oem provided lift. I’m at 1.9 and my angles barely changed.

I went ahead and did the diff drop back when the 5100s went on - was cheap & easy enough to do. Might make more of a difference when the 6112s go on at the #4 setting ... guess I'll find out and report back when the install is done.

Nope ... mechanic said it wasn't really necessary, but having it there wasn't going to hurt anything. Plus it's done for later when it might be needed. This was like 60k miles ago ... zero issues.

Would 6112s be stout enough to support the weight of a steel front bumper and winch and still maintain a mostly level stance (on a '21 Limited CrewMax)?

And would 6112s pair OK with the factory TRD Offroad rear suspension -- maybe for the short term. Long term maybe adding 5100s or 5160s, an AAL or shackles in the rear for a bit more support when towing/hauling.

I did the drop, but it was probably unnecessary. I went through three sets of CV axels on my FJ with a 3in lift and that left a bad taste in my mouth.

Definitely yes to the second question - it rides excellent with the stock rear. Maybe someone more expierenced can answer the first. I’m certain you would drop down lower than whatever someone without the heavy number would have. If I had a question like that I’d call Boss 4x4 (Darren) and ask.

Can anyone point me in a direction, what shop would install the 6112 on my 2020 platinum, PA NJ area , also where to purchase the 6112?

Would it be bad to put the diff drop on now with a level in anticipation of a future lift in the rear that might change the angles more? Any I’ll effects of a possibly unnecessary drop?

Had that discussion with my mechanic when I put the 5100s on at the top setting; he said not necessary, but I went ahead and did it anyway. That was almost 10yrs ago, no issues since. It's also very easy to do, so you don't necessarily have to do it until the time comes; it was about a 15min job.

I see alot of posts about 1.9 setting with shim +2 Driver +1 Passenger, and leaving rear alone. How much lift is that for the front. I have a 3/1 LRO level and will be upgrading to the 6112/5160 setup but I want to bring my truck back down alittle bit. So has anyone ran 6112 +1 Driver and nothing on passenger? And I will be getting rid of 1" block on rear and putting 1" shackle probably unless that will be too much rear lift with the 1.9 setting. Thanks have a good day.

Bringing this back.. AGAIN! Ha. Grabbing this combo set at the third clip. If I want to maintain factory rake and not touch the rear should I look at moving to the 2nd clip?

I'm running the 6112's @ 1.9 with a single shim on the driver side. Kept the stock 4600's from the TRD OR package in the back. It was about dead level with that setup when measuring, but it looked just a bit sagged to me. So I added a +1 CB shackle (which is .625" actual lift) in the rear and I'm happy with it.

You can’t raise the front any height, leave the rear alone, and have “factory rake”. 1.3 setting would leave you with some rake but less than factory. 1.9 has my front and rear within millimeters of each other (level). I’d have to raise the rear an inch to get rake again. When I have something heavy in the bed it is slightly sagged, but not offensive.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I mis spoke about “factory” rake. I would just like to maintain some rake period. Good to know! And forgive me I’m sure it’s been mentioned. Did you do a diff drop?

I did do it. Seemed like cheap cv axle insurance to me, but I also recognize that the TRD Pro comes with a 2in lift up front and no diff drops. I had a 3in lift on my FJ cruiser and replaced the cv axles multiple times due to boot failure.

Yikes! Yeah pretty strange the pro doesn’t do it from the factory. I’ll probably still do it at 1.3

    Great thread!
My ‘21 TRD Sport Premium Just arrived and I am waiting for a set of 6112&5160 to come in next week. I will be setting the front to 1.9”, but I am not sure about the rear. I will be putting a ARE cap on so it might sit a little lower. I am thinking of adding +1” to the rear. Would anyone have a pic of that setup with a cap? Thanks in advance. My 1794 sits pretty level, but that has a 7” Procomp on it.

Most paved interstates/highways are built with a crown for water drainage. The slight drivers-side lean of some vehicles was designed to compensate for that, so that it is actually level on crowned surfaces.

I'd asked this question loooong ago, and that was the explanation I got. Not sure if that's the case with Tundras, but it kinda makes sense.

6112’s at 1.3 are what I’m settling in on now after a lot of pondering. Are aftermarket UCA’s needed to get my alignment in check?

Not needed. Best I can tell they are something to consider as you get past 2.5-3 inches of lift. Mine aligned just fine at 2.
