@LOTSOFTOYS Thank you for answering all of our questions!!! So I'm looking into getting the 4 1/2 in BDS lift on my 15 CM. Is that something Toyota can install or would i need to take it to another shop? Thanks again!!!

The 4.5 is a drop bracket right? I've never done one, not a big fan... I'd say a different shop, but u could ask for a quote?

@LOTSOFTOYS well i got my answer today. Drove to the nearest toyota dealership for an oil change and tire rotation. I asked if they installed any lifts and they said no, they also said that if you come in with after market rims they won't rotate them either due to the fact that if they mess up the rim they don't want to have to replace it, or in the case the rims aren't made anymore having to pay for 4 new rims.

Also I've decided to go with the Toytec Boss lift. Thanks for the info!

Not a whole lot yet... same power train as previous years for the most part. Should be a solid vehicle. I personally hate the look, but that's my opinion.... too much like a Ford explorer.

    @LOTSOFTOYS

Here is a video of what I'm talking about.

    http://youtu.be/eaPlzhnuOuU

I don't know if this is normal but after shutting off my engine tonight heard a buzzing type sound coming from underneath my truck(turned off a few seconds later). So I started/shut off the engine again I went under the truck to pin point the sound. It's coming from the transmission oil pan. I put my ear on the pan and can hear it inside. After a few seconds or more I hear a click then it turns off.

It's not the normal fan like noise and it's not coming from the back of the truck.

    Any ideas?

Have you heard of the AIP system doing that sound on older gen tundras? With that odd sound after turning off the truck?

Ur talking after you turn the truck off? The air pumps clear the lines for a second or two?

Is that what it is? I've just read that it's a normal noise clearing out moisture or something?

No not the air pump. It happens during the air pump but when the air pump stops there is the sound which i posted in the video. You can crawl under the drivers side, put your ear on the trans. oil pan and hear the sound inside. I even put a stethoscope to it.

It's not the pump because I put the stethoscope on the pump and it wasn't making noise.

Pretty sure my window motors are going out...takes 4 or 5 taps to get the drivers side window to go fully down with the auto down. Any input? Passenger side goes down retarded slow.

Yeah I don't think that is normal. I hear the air pump, but that buzz is something else.

It did it on a brand new truck at the dealer also. I'm sure yours does it if you drive it around the block then turn off the engine. Put your head under the truck near the trans oil pan and listen once the pump stops. "buzz/Hummmm"

Hey LOTSOFTOYS, I have a '13 TRD, 5.7L. It has a slight pull to the right going down the road. I brought this up to the service guy on one of my 5K scheduled service trips and he said this was normal for the TRD's. It doesn't feel or sound normal. Is this normal??

I have two questions. My 2016 Pro radio and GPS won't work until the cabin warms up if it's cold outside. Do you think this needs looked at?

What's the best locker for the Tundra rear?

Sorry man, mine does not do that. There is only the air pump sound.

Unless mine is so quiet I don't hear it. I've been outside of my truck plenty of times after oil changes. No sound like that.

Sounds like the person you talked to doesn't like his job, he's a liar. Ask locally to find a quality alignment shop to have it looked at. Check the tire inflation as well. My truck will pull on some very specific sections of road, but I know it's the road, make sure that's not what you're experiencing.

Looking at it won't help, you should be watching the road. LOL. Vehicles are an unfriendly place for electronics, but unless it's brutally cold, in the neighborhood of -20F, they should work pretty normally after five or ten minutes after being powered up.

My favorite locker would be an ARB Air Locker, they're not cheap though.

Thanks buddy, I really appreciate your help!!!!
I know it's not the tire pressure or section of road, so I guess I'll be looking around for an alignment shop. Sadly the 4 Toyota dealerships around here all suck ass and can't be trusted. I know their not all that way, but around here they are for some reason.

It's not related to how cold it is(warm engine shut off). I tested a new one at the dealer and it did the same thing... Maybe it's a 2015/2016 thing or just a 2016 thing. I will go to a different Toyota and try another truck tomorrow.

I'm not trying to offend him in anyway. I am just reporting back what I have discovered. I'm not a Toyota mechanic but I know my way around cars. I was trying to see what it was or if anybody else actually heard it or even paid attention to it.

@Boozer posted his makes the same noise also.

:bananadance: <<<< Could even be this guy inside messing with me lol

Just another thing to consider, Had a level kit and 4 Cooper mud tires put on my 2013 Crewmax. Noticed it too had a slight pull even though they aligned it at the dealer. Took it back and they swapped sides with the two front tires and it went away. Maybe that will help you.
