Lots of Toys I have a question for you! I have a 2012 Tundra Crew Max 4wd and have a 2.25 spacer leveling kit in the front and also have 275/55/20 all terrain tires. The question that I have is my truck is pulling pretty bad to the right and I have had it aligned at Firestone and took it back to have them recheck it because it was still pulling. So I took it back today for the third time due to the fact that it is wearing out my new tires due to the alignment issue and the guy told me today that it could be the tire size because the door sticker says 285/55/20 and when I bought the truck it had 275/55/20 so I put back what was on there. Is this true and if not what could it possibly be causing the pulling issue? Thank you

Thanks for the reply. I checked the coolant levels and everything is normal. I was running the heater the other day to dry up the carpet and the water was gushing from the bottom right side of the truck again. Far more than I have ever seen when the truck is running with the AC on. I tried the same with the AC and typical small pool of water on the driveway in the center of the truck is not there.

Is it possible my air conditioner drain is clogged and this is causing the build up under the carpet?

I have another problem now with my 2012 Crewmax 4wd! It seems to be that the transmission is slipping now because when it is cold the truck will not hardly shift you have to let off the throttle to get it to shift and the whole truck starts jerking with the RPMs going up and down. But when it warms up it seems to be ok I guess. The truck just doesn't feel right. Is there anything wrong with the transmission or something different

Not sure man... check engine light? I'd have a dealer check it out and maybe do a drain and fill

@LOTSOFTOYS When it's "cold", doesn't the transmission stay in a lower gear (and avoids converter lock up) to slightly elevate the engine RPMs for the purpose of warming the engine quicker?

Yeah for more reasons than that. When it's cold it runs far different than when it's warm

I finally talked to the service department today after 3 days of calling them. They told me that they had no clue or idea what is wrong with my truck. So now I have no idea what to do about the situation at hand. Any suggestions from anyone

Now they're saying that it may have trash in the transmission and wants me to pay $350 to have the transmission flushed and they're not sure if it is going to fix it or not

Tell them to flush it then. U are having issues with it, hence the warranty... atleast try, they may rely on saying it's a maintenance item

They told me that I had to pay for it out of my pocket that it is not covered under warranty and I really don't have the extra money at this point and time see it being Christmas and with 3 kids (Ages=20,14,8 and a 43 year old wife which is the worst). I am going to take it to another dealership and have them take a look at it to get a second opinion

I have another question LotsOfToys. They told me that the transmission was low of fluid. Can this make my truck act up like it has been doing?

Hey LotsofToys, it's so cool of you to offer help and guidance to us all. GREATLY appreciated!

How familiar are you with CK LED BULBS and CK sockets on these Tundras?

For the life of me I cannot get my 3157 CK LEDs to dual function. They either just stay on as DRLs or do not come on at all. I have aftermarket LED/HALO headlights and have already tapped them into the DRLs. I also have the 6ohm load balancers tapped into the DRLs.

Can I not run both the led 3157 CK bulbs and the LEDs & Halos off the DRLs?

Thanks so much for any info

Glad I jumped in this thread as I didnt see it's own post elsewhere. Long thread on this on the other big TT forum. Some thoughts @ TruckyTruck as far as them doing the 2 speed fuel pump, I'd think that might be an issue if you ever want to FFV supercharge? Thought I was reading in the ffv sc threads you used stock pump as the one in the kit wouldnt fit? Just something I'd have to be cautious about but wondering if no SC plans that indeed would be a mechanical way to tell the FFV ECU to fuck off with the e85.

LOTS of toys. I'm @ like 11k Miles, If I bring my truck down to use up my 15k Toyo care in the next couple thousand. (Previous owner used up the 5 early and I did the 10 at like 7.5) Aside from the basic stuff as part of the 15k, could I easily schedule an appt to have you personally look at/do a few things or recommend a tech for it? I need that Service bulletin for the ffv as I've been having the scary cold starts. Also been noticing in the cooler weather that sometimes I'm peppy and fine on the road, but other times doesn't seem like a hill yet acceleration is pretty sluggish unless I'm really putting the pedal down fairly heavily. (Vs the soft touch most of the time.)

Was also interested in some post of yours where you had recommended some suspension or other parts that get opened up and greased so they don't wear out for an expensive repair at 100 something k miles? Sorry I'm forgetting what it was but hope that rings a bell.

I'm not familiar with those bulbs sorry.

Yes just ask the receptionist when u call Stevinson west and ask when I work. They have my schedule. Then just request me. That's fine... warranty work doesn't pay us well, so be nice please;)

I have tips? Dunno which part would be nice. Think the flash is only warranty work. The toyo care I am probably fine farming out to the cheap guys if that's better and they at all more reliable than some places. (I'm right next to Stapp? Toyota on i25 and refuse to go there.) Then that extra lube spot if you know what I'm talking about which would be outside of normal listed warranty/toyo care I'd think and could bill me for that.
