While I'm not the mechanic, avoid those E3 Diamond fire. Tried those in my 2013 for around 3-4k miles and wasn't impressed. No gains on fuel economy and seem like less power on the higher RPM bands. Went and grabbed some Denso u grooves Iridium tips from Advance Auto and those seem to be ok. Denso is factory Toyota parts, after that, there are several versions.

Thanks, that is very helpful. There seemed to be a lot of positive reviews on the E3's but sometimes you just never know about those reviews. When they seem to exaggerated it's almost difficult to believe a plug can do what they said.

I would just put in ngk plugs, that's what we use at the dealer, they work just fine

Thanks. I went with the NGK Iridiums. I checked one of the plugs in already and they were the Denso brand so probably been there for awhile. It wasn't in too bad of shape, but figure I may as well change them out then I know when they have been changed. The electrode was worn down some so I figure they may have been there awhile. Changing them out tomorrow.

Hey Lotsoftoys, I forgot to ask if I should gap the plugs or leave them how they came? I don't want to damage them since they do have the very fine point type electrode. Thanks

I did a search and found two places that suggest 0.32 so that is what I went with. Only a minor adjustment from the pregap measurement. The truck runs great, will see if mileage is improved any.

LOTSOFTOYS, I have a 2014 Tundra and the front right turn signal burnt out so I put a new bulb in and it promptly burnt out as well, any Idea where to start looking to see if there is a short or any other advice. Thanks for your time and advice.

Same thing happened with my 2012. Tinkered with it several times and discovered the bulb wasn't pushed all the way in....works now

I found it.....pinion loose.....i ran the nut in about a 1/16th "turn" and It took alot of it out. I need some air to get it to go on in. Probably take it to toyota so I don't overload it and destroy everything.

Can't shift into Park after replacing the transmission in my 2001 Tundra. Might the problem be a matter of adjusting the cable where it attaches to the transmission or will I have to open up the steering column? Other than that, I can put it in Neutral and it starts right up and runs great. Any suggestions?

I'm sure you've gotten a lot of questions about the shift actuators on 1st gen tundras. But I have the blinking 4Hi light w/o engaging. I want to know if I can fix or replace part by myself but I can't even find pics of what I'm looking for online. Thanks for the help

It's alot more difficult than just throwing parts at it. Do you know if it's the tcase actuator or the add?

Are the Blue Pit Bearing replacement hubs worth it? Started noticing a whine when I steer towards the right, and only to the right. Pretty sure it's the wheel bearing going and thought might as well replace both while I'm at it along with all the brake parts.

I'll get them and report back for those who might have to do a wheel bearing.

Question on wheelbase and slider fitment. Reg cab, long bed has the same 145.7" wheelbase as the double cab 6'6" bed and the crewmax with 5'6" bed. Have not been able to find anyone that makes sliders for the rclb, yet many companies build them for the other 145.7" wheelbase trucks. Is there a difference in the same length frames?

Shiuldnt be no, id get exact dimensions including where they have the legs of the sliders, so you can take some measurements to make sure they will fit yours

Jace, do you know if the 1st gen tundra shares the same front and rear 8.4" diff as the 1st gen Tacomas? I'm pretty sure both are 7.5" and the rear is 8.4" (non-trd for Tacoma). Just wondering if built diffs for a Tacoma would work for my tundra.
