FYI.....for those of you that have have expensive salt water aquariums and like to fill them with "discounted, great deal" rare salt water fish.........................in many places in Asia where most imported salt water fish come from, the Philippines especially is the biggest offender, I saw first hand that cyanide would be dropped into the water to stun the fish. Wouldn't kill them. These cyanide stunned fish survive for awhile, especially the large sought after fish. Long enough to be exported to be sold at a discounted price only to die a slow death in your tank from the affects of the cyanide. Know your suppliers source...just sayin. That's why I shy away from Colorado sushi joints.......

I used to love having clown triggers in my 125g reef.
I’d pay top dollar for ones that were 3- 5 inches long.
After the third one in 8 weeks I finally asked the aquarium store, look I’m a good customer why are they all die in less than a few weeks. It’s not the water quality.

Then I was told how they were caught, and there liver quits working by the fish specialists I contacted.

I should correct myself....some shady folks sell those highly sought after fish for a premium too. I haven't had an aquarium for some time now but I always bought the rarer fish with a warranty.
I know that the Washington State Ag Department is going all out to stop the Asian hornets. Won't "bee" easy......

What sucked is the edible fish would end up at the wet markets there too. No fish was exempt from cyanide "fishing". Best to catch your own fish....and kill hornets

I see Wikipedia has already been updated: "In September 2019, the British Columbia Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed the hornets have been found on Vancouver Island in Canada, with a nest having been discovered and subsequently destroyed in the city of Nanaimo.[14]In December 2019, the Washington State Department of Agriculture confirmed a report of a dead specimen on the U.S. side of the border adjacent to Vancouver, the first report of this species in the United States, and very close to the September sightings.[15]In April 2020, more sightings were reported, and there is concern that the local honeybee population could be drastically reduced by the influx of the hornets into the United States."

This is my "neck of the woods". Check out a map and you'll see Vancouver Island from Canada shares the same general region as NW Washington State. I really hope this turns into nothing...But knowing this state, they'll spend the next 2-3 years studying the problem and trying to get an eradication plan approved by the State, counties, cities and tribal communities...and then it will be too late

Lucky Hawaiians and your paradise tropical islands!

But don’t y’all have great white sharks biting people’s arms off, tsunamis, big volcanoes that can blow at any moment and super strict gun laws? I mean, at least in Texas we can still go to one of our many revered, local gun shops, buy whatever guns and ammo left on the shelf and follow Florida man’s example by shooting our Texas hearts out at the next incoming hurricane. And while we’re waiting for the next Hurricane Harvey during our frequent droughts, flooding, hail storms, and scorching, blast-furnace summer time heat, we can still try to blow the smithereens out of our state’s many deadly creatures.

I wouldn't bother, their stingers are about 2 inches long and a normal bee suit won't prevent stings. :help:
