Can happily report back that I fixed my wind noise after multiple dealer visits and seal replacements.

45k miles on the new rig and whisper quiet compared to my old $70k truck

I didn't realize you were dealing w/ wind noise, too, and was it on the Sequoia? What did Toyota do to fix it? Where was it coming from? I'm going bonkers listening to the Wooo wooo wooo at 65 + mph.

After weeks of backorder they finally arrived :D

    Driver side weatherstrip : 67866-0C040
    Pass side weatherstrip: 67865-0C040

Did they quiet up the cabin? Yes they sure did

Did they cure my wind noise woes?:monocle: Not entirely. I have some work to do in the window seals in the back (Double Cab) but the door seals were money well spent. I have a Limited OR and was surprised they didn’t come on my truck. It may be part placebo effect.

    Installation tips:

    1) Use a nylon trim tool to remove the trim plugs on the doors. If you try and use a flathead screwdriver-, you’ll still know that scratch is there

    2) ignore the YouTuber’s advice to try and fish it through the door hinge with pliers. Just use paracord in the top hole of the trim piece to pull it up and into place.

    3) never underestimate the utility of a heat gun and soapy water.

nothing on the seqouia, was a joke since I sold my whistling pig 22 and got this. I do get some mirror whistling with gnarly cross winds on the big tree, but my prior gen tundras did the same

Glad to hear you're not having problems w/ the new rig. Wish I could say the same. My 08 was quiet, other than a bit of road noise, but the Pro is a woo woo woooooing pig. 65 and above is noisy AF. The only difference is the Pro rack and the somewhat crappy, old K02 tires it came with. For reference, I ran General Grabber AT/Xs on the 08 and I had a bug deflector, non low profile. Any ideas? It seems to be a mixed bag and only a few people complain about the Pro rack. Wonder if it is the crossbar spacing.

Tires are def not helping your cuase. The pro rack is the main issue though. We moved our cross bars forward and it got much too loud, slid them back a foot (front on by the sunroof) and it quieted right up.

Thx! Looking at your build page, 22 Jan. Is that the magical spacing? The the first at the back edge of the sunroof? Because it looks like 02 Jan the bars were aligned with the mounts.

Curious for those with severe wind noise and such... how well does the door seal stay up against the door? Mine has some pretty good gaps. I feel like my wind noise has increased over time, but still nothing what y'all report. This is a picture of how most of it looks. The front doors are both like this, and the back doors you have to look at it to see gaps. I really thought my weather-stripping was falling off until I realized it was attached by clips. Has anyone tried weather-stripping glue?

That's how mine looks and just like yours, my wind noise is increasing as time goes by. Complained about it to dealer at my 2500 mile oil change but of course they said everything was normal. I've been contemplating what I want to do to try and fix it, but haven't landed on anything yet.

Installed these. Little fiddling to squeeze behind the door hinges. Just use a plastic clip removal tool so you don’t damage the paint. Much quieter now. Took 3 months to get these from when I ordered them. IMG_0140.jpg IMG_0144.jpg IMG_0142.jpg

this is a trim piece on limited and up only, some guy made a youtube video and then all the posts found out that this piece is based on trim level and higher trim levels still have the air sound

ive complained about this twice, first time during oil change they verified the concern and was told to bring it in next time to get it addressed, 2nd time during oil change I brought it in while it was raining and then said dealer couldnt duplicate the issue.... i talked to my service writer and he said to bring it in again when it wasn't raining....

Well, I fixed the noise by trashing the beaten KO2s that came w/ the rig. Running LT275/70R/18 General Grabber A/TXs and she's pretty much silent, well except for the TRD catback. As for the rails, I guess I have them in their sweet spot. Cheers!

I like it a lot. I had a Borla catback on my 08 and loved that too. Can't choose which is better. HP seemed to go up on the 08 and I can easily chirp the tires in the pro. Something I don't like and couldn't easily do on the 08. Same tires

Fyi, the new door seals seem to be same part number but end with a B at the end, my original door seal build July 2022 doesn't have B at the end, so it may be slightly changed. I didn't bother installing them as my truck has too much wind and whining noises anyway so I gave up on it..

I compared them side by side, as you can see on my photo. It's hard to tell if they're different or not, and it's possible that my original seal deformed a little bit after 1.5 years I used the truck...

If the original seal did not deform, it does appear that the new seal has a slightly tilted flat edge.

After all, I think they can modify the seal only so much as the door seal was designed for a particular gap of the door ...

It does appear that the new seal may be slightly different since it has a B at end of its product number.

Didn't you had your door seals replaced recently?

I can confirm that only Limited trims and above have the seals. In fact, it’s 4 of them. One for each door. I just did a dealer walk through and every single Limited and up had them, and every SR5 did not have them. I tried ordering the front door seals; however, the parts manager showed me that the front driver’s side seal is back ordered, and the system wouldn’t even let him place an order.

My driver window makes a sound like glass on the rubber or like a styrofoam cooler makes in the car when it bounces around at low speeds. They are replacing the seal. I did mention wind noise in general and was told that it was the design of the mirrors.... Sounds like if you all are having luck changing the seals, then it must have been a bad batch of seals or no seals.

That is my issue as i documented here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H65MS0ZI-B4
Same noise that TRD JON documented here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZc24efF3Ew&t=0s

Based on what I've read and heard swapping the door seal is ineffective so I would be interested in hearing your results. Per this thread swapping door seals did not help TRD JON. Installing the rubber tubing linked in my video reduced but did not solve my problem.

Would love to see a TSB on this as the dealers are all over the place. My service tech test drove it with me and said it was wind from the mirrors which is not correct. It is a door vibration.

It did, but its not perfect. This video shows immediately after install: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QJQaIWUymg&t=2s

However after a week or so the vibration slowly started to return. Seems worse on cold mornings. It is better than without the additional weather strip.

Catching up on this thread. I checked and my 2024 TRD Pro *does* have the trim, HOWEVER, the passenger side clips were not pushed in all the way, and the trim was therefore not sealing along the door properly. Pushed the top three clips in all the way: each went in one more “click”, and now the trim seals better. I’ll be interested to see whether this reduces the amount of wind noise that I get. I thought that I was getting wind noise, but recognize that “wind noise” is a relative term.

Rope does not work, a week later and the rattle noise is back already. The only hope is that Toyota will eventually release the series B weatherstripping.

Maybe try adjusting the striker to pull the door inward more?

I cannot get the striker to move at all. I have tried adjusting just the frame around the window to make it tighter, but that does not help. No matter what I do, the weatherstripping on the cab of the truck squeaks/rattles over every bump.
