Not at all. Only 3200 miles on SR5 and trading up for a platinum.

    Rci skid plate,
99% happy with my purchase. The other 1% will come when they update the infotainment system and fix those bugs otherwise this thing is a beast for what it is. Tows amazing and has all the comforts I need. Now if we could just get some factory manual extend tow mirrors I’d say perfect truck.

    Yeah we got same suspension.

Doesn't it feel like the truck handles like a boat? And is very bumpy and bouncy over even small road imperfections? And you can feel every bump on the road?

Same here... I'm actively researching how to improve the suspension... Probably just simple bilstein shocks upgrade will do the trick.

I have loved my platinum hybrid. I will say, I don't know if I would call them full on regrets, but two things I would change if I could:
    1. Color. I like the red, but it was NOT my first choice. I am not a flashy guy, and I don't feel like I fit in a giant red truck.
    2. Non-TRD. I wish so bad you could get the platinum with the TRD package. I understand everyone will say "Just get a 1794 with the TRD package" which looking back, might have tempted me. But to me, all the chrome on the 1794 was a turn off as well as the interior color options. I really wanted a black interior, and I do LOVE the black headliner in mine. I just wish Toyota would give us the option to get Platinum trim with the TRD off road. So not sure if I would actually change this... probably though. I would get an Army Green with the saddle interior and TRD off road packge.

I do really like the hybrid power train. It is amazing to be driving and genuinely not knowing if the engine is on or off without looking at the tack or actively listening. Incredibly smooth how it transitions. Like it is shocking.

I love my 2023 limited trd off-road. I haven’t had it long but it the softex seats are very comfortable for me, the engine/ transmission combo is really fun to drive, tons of power on tap whenever I need it. The infotainment is not perfect, but it’s one of the best I have ever interacted with. It’s the best handling truck I have ever driven, a good mix of precise steering yet smooths out bumps.

2022 limited offroad hybrid here. I'm happy with it, but keen to see the next gen of tacoma. If the new taco is slightly larger than current and has a better fuel econ drivetrain i'll probably trade my tundra in.

I've had my truck for 3 weeks, definitely looks great, the power and transmission is awesome and pairs really well for the truck. Everything else is just meh though.

I've owned like 10+ Toyotas dating back to like 1989 and am no way a Toyota hater. I dont have any regrets, I know what I bought kinda dissapointed Toyota put their name on this vehicle though

Coming from a superduty this truck drives like a sportscar. Bought the SR5 sport to keep from having to paint or remove non color matched parts. Loving the army green. The color was not in my top 5 but once I saw the combo of black and green I had to have it. Probably will upgrade the stereo. It's Okay but not great.

    Lots of stuff!
Overall, we like the truck. Still struggling with the chrome moustache, handles and rear bumper but those can be changed. The wheels can be changed as well so we should like it more. I am still amazed at how big it is thinking that we should have waited for a short box crewmax. With bigger tires it will probably look shorter!

2 months in and love the look and driving my 2022. Being out of service 2 weeks for a coolant leak was concerning. Contacting Toyota and never getting any response is concerning. If that issue was a one off, then my only improvement would be more power steering boost for parking manuvers. The auto start stop is like beta 1 as it it feels like the first time a vehicle ever had it; it is so rough and obvious when the engine restarts

Capstone Hybrid owner here. Regrets? Not really but certainly some head scratchers. For reference, I had 7 tundras in a row from 2007 until 2019 when I changed to a GMC AT4 because Toyota had nothing new (yet) to offer. Here are my pain points:

Auto start - why does it only run for 10 minutes and maximum of 2 times before having to go and physically start the truck? Why does it not turn the defrost on high, steering wheel heat on, seat warmer on automatically via a setting (similar for summer time when started) - like the AT4 does? Why does it turn off when the door is opened? Why can I “auto start it” from running and get out?

4x4 -why is there no auto 4x4? When in 4x4 and I turn, the front wheels fight themselves to turn (hopping, etc). Seems archaic in a new truck

Features - why can’t I set it to auto lock after I leave the truck for 30 seconds?

Fan - the heater fan barely blows, making defrosting a bit of a timely process.

Rear step -why not have the step in the bumper vs the step extension come out and retract?

Tailgate -why have the release button on the side of the taillight ?

Again it sound like I have regrets but I really don’t - it’s just a few quirkly and odd things Toyota does or doesn’t do.

Sometimes I do think about trading my truck in...I'm mad that I rushed to get a truck that didn't have the tow tech pkg and air suspension that I wanted.

But I got a great price for my 4R and bought a less expensive truck so my monthly payments are lower...so there's that too.

Overall all, I'm very happy with the purchase

I have no regrets whatsoever. I would buy another Platinum for sure. As I stated in another post, the only dislike that I have is the price. I love the interior, the rims, and the power. It truly is a complete package.

I have to agree with every point you made. When I was looking and doing research on trucks, this is what I kept coming back to:
I decided to trade some of the fancier features and conveniences for reliability and resale value. Hopefully both of those hold true for the new tundra, but time will tell.

I have had mine for about 6 months now and I love it. Minor gripes like the posters above- no auto 4wd, no integrated tailgate step. I like all the tech features but they can also be annoying with the constant beeps and warnings. Carista saved my sanity by turning off the hyper aggressive seatbelt chime. Fuel economy sucks, but I guess it's hard to defeat physics.

I would have preferred the hybrid but it's unavailable with the double cab. I wanted the longer bed for hauling my bikes. The double cab back seat is hopeless, but for me it's just luggage space anyway. I was apprehensive about vinyl seats, but they're actually just fine.

I have mixed feelings..I love the 22, but at the same time really miss the 2018. There is just something about the V8.... And the 18 had a lot more "presence". The 22 is like a sissy truck next to the 2.5 gen.
    But overall no regrets.

I loved my '12 Tundra, and my '05 Tundra. IF I get the new 22+ it won't be until '24 or so, after the bugs are worked out. I have friends and colleagues with a '22 and it's a mixed bag. Some LOVE their new Tundra, while others are having all sorts of mechanical, or electrical issues.

If I needed a new Tundra right now I'd go for the lesser powered SR model. Plenty enough get up and go for my daily workflow, but cost effective enough to build out the way I'd want it for about $8K-15K less than a built out Pro.

The 22 is just another truck in the parking lot.
The 18 got noticed. People saw it and commented on it. And there wasn't really anything special done to it; just a leveling, but it stood out.

I see, to me the new one sticks out much more, but toyota has always been polarizing with their design, more of a love it or hate it

for me, I dont give a shit what anyone else thinks, I set em up the way I like it, HA!

I do think the new one should sit a little higher up, but I get it with all the CAFE crap

PS, I think that your truck looks great in that sunrise pic. I have a very similar pic like that from a job site with the backfill in the background.

    edit, found it

I have a 2022, 1794 and I don't regret the purchase one bit. I'm only at 2K on mileage but it has been a great 2K. This is my third Tundra, had a first gen limited and a 2019 TRD Pro. I like my 2022 much better than the first two and that is saying something as I loved both of those trucks.
