My truck spent about 10 hours at 4WP. 35 hrs seems like a lot but maybe they haven’t installed many of these bumpers? They aren’t exactly a walk in the park. Lots of parts and steps. Installing the winch shouldn’t take too long. Good luck. Post up a pic when you get your truck back!

PS: If you plan on upgrading the fogs, go ahead and do it now if possible to save the headache later. I’m running the fogs arb included but I wanna upgrade to Diode Dynamics Amber SS3s.

Can anyone confirm what fogs from Diode Dynamics will for sure fit the fog light housing on this bumper?

Insurance did as a subcontract for fixing it. I could not believe it.

Ss3 max, the regular mount style with amber backlights and the paranoid brackets are what I have in mine.

Wrapped the factory ARB fogs in amber film today to tie me over until I jump to the Diode dynamics SS3s. I removed the fogs with housings from the bumper. The way ARB chose to mount the lamps into the housing is absolutely ridiculous, lol. Wrapping the lamps wasn't as easy as it looks. A heat gun, thumbs, and a lot of patience,
and you will prevail. Small victories. Cheers

Does anyone have a definitive answer on whether headlights/grill can be replaced while keeping the bumper on?

Have you called ARB yet? They generally have great customer service and can usually answer technical questions like this over the phone. I did remember reading a post a while back where someone said they had to loosen the bumper mounting bolts in order to “droop” the bumper forward in order to install new head lamps. As for the grill I’m not sure, I feel like it would be tight but doable. Better to be safe than sorry and upgrade grill and headlights before bumper install. Reply back here when/if you find an answer!

Called ARB this morning. They said “our engineers would not have designed a bumper that limited access to the grille or headlights”. Well… maybe they did, maybe they didn’t. I pushed them on it and the technical support guy said he didn’t have any other information. I asked if they have an applications team he can put me in contact with and he said no. Dead end with ARB customer service.

To answer this question we really need someone with experience to weigh in. Hopefully with photos

In addition to the grill/headlights replacement question… have you had any issues with your TSS (radar)? ARB claims it only fits thru the 2018 model year. I don’t think anything is substantially different between 2018-2021. 2018 has TSS right? You might be the only summit owner on this thread with a truck new enough to know.

The more I look at this bumper, I think it overwhelmes the look of the Tundra. Maybe the Dobinsons is a bit more diminutive and wouldn’t have this effect.

it’s definitely not for everyone. It is a BIG ASS bumper, but in turn offers a lot of protection. Personally, I think it’s the best balance of protection and off road functionality.
