I did not know anything about this. Is there a DIY write up? I need to get that done too.
I extended the rear differential breather tube by the way.

Do u really plan on submerging your truck in water that deep or is the snorkel just for looks?

I don't plan to do that and it's definitely not for the look. (It's butt fugly to be genuinely honest)
We are Harvey survivor, and I am getting it just to buy an extra chance if it ever comes down to that. Having said that, lift is next project.

    Yes, sir!
Just to share my experience a bit if you don't mind the lengthy reading.
My house was ok but the streets surrounding my neighborhood were flooded so we were trapped in for almost 4 days. The only vehicles that were getting out were those lifted Jeep with "SandLover" stickers on it. Even them, they were still cautious when crossing the high water area. My wife was 6 month pregnant and thank god we had enough water and food. Never in a million years that I saw myself owning a truck, and then there was this lifted dual/qua wheels with snorkel across the street. I saw it slowly got into the flooded area with only headlights above the water. Then that mothafaka just took off like it's nothing. I was like "Fuck GTR! I am getting that! All THAT!" :mudding:

Big balls to tackle this one. Big, big balls. Nice work! And you're right it is futt bugly, but I can't say I blame you for doing this mod after surviving a Harvey Wallbanger like that.

    Funny you said that.
So when we first received the snorkel, my wife (who does not give a rat ass about cars), took a look at the instructions and said "16mm&12mm drill bits I get, but why does it say jig saw here?!"

The front diff and tranny breathers are a bit low too and I plan to move mine up.
Just as you said, the SAI can be easily made. I've made a half dozen or so for friends. Gimme a DM if you'd like a comprehensive shopping list for the parts. It varies slightly but the parts generally run $100- $125. Assembly and install takes just over an hour.

Hey, guys, so as 831Tun is trying to help me figure out the 2ndAI for me (which I really appreciate), I have an idea that I'd like to run it by you guys. (Please see pix). I am thinking drilling the hole into the airbox base and connect the two breather filters this way. My only concern is the suction of the motor will be greater than the 2ndAI's suction which causes negative pressure where the 2ndAI never gets any air. What are your thoughts?

I doubt that would be an issue..I'm sure theres not that much pressure generated in the intake box, but just make sure they are sealed as well. If not, kinda defeats the purpose of the snorkel lol
