ARB Breather Kit

2019 Tundra SR5 TRD 5.7l 4WD

Just a question regarding the ARB breather kit installation for the rear differential. Or any other breather kit you may have created.

I've seen people put the filter behind the rear driver's side taillight. And others in the engine bay.

I know both raises the filter high enough to avoid water or debris.

Just wanted to get everyone's opinion on the placement of the filter. Take the easy route and put it behind the taillight or run it to the engine bay.

Any pros or cons?

I believe the ones you see in the engine bay are the tranny and front diff breather. I don't recall seeing people pulling the rear one to the bay. No need really.
Rear tail light for sure. Way easier and works perfectly.

I installed mine in the rear taillight too. Easiest way to go.

 

Man, I'm glad I asked. The rear tailight definitely seemed to be the easier route.

So I have another question. Anyone install the breather kit on the front differential?

Ppl rarely do anything to the front since it already is extended into the engine bay.

 

My ARB rear diff breather is routed to the engine bay.

 

I just did mine a few months ago and routed right up and behind the driver's side tail light. Super easy peasy. I used the pieced together parts that is in one of the related threads (not the one noted above).
