Any experience with these? The more OS changes that happen, the worse my experience is with my phone or iPod even being plugged into the USB port. The track skipping is sluggish and sometimes just stops playback altogether.

It's driving me nuts and I'm tired of having to fiddle with my phone to make things happen because the stereo is old technology.

At this point I'm considering switching to something like this, which should be a pretty straightforward swap and maybe even enhance sound quality some https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/NEX/AVIC-8200NEX#

Yikes. That pricetag is making my head spin. Good looking HU though. I've had the AVH-X on other cars. Worked really well, integration was nice. Been debating if it's what I want for the Tundra.

Probably stock. I have the JBL premium whatamajig and it actually sounds pretty great for my needs. I'm definitely not giving up under/behind seat storage which has a lot to do with why I'm sticking with 2nd gen anyways. If this makes it sound even just a little better then I'm all for it.

I just feel like the interface is ancient and it's obviously having problems that weren't there before. The maps suck, too. I think it's time to move on with something that can be updated easily and expanded on, too.

Yeah it's $800 on Amazon. I don't have to get anything else like speakers, etc so I feel like I can spend a little more.
