Hi all. Hoping to get some advice for my 2000 AC Limited 4wd front suspension refresh. I'd like to level the front end with the back. I'm researching jba upper control arms with Billstein 6112s and a 700 lbs spring, as I'd like to run a steel front bumper after my existing bumper was destroyed by a buck. When I read the billstein literature, it states that only a 0 to 1 inch lift is possible? I'm guessing this is because of the stock UCA? Anyone running this setup? Recommendations?

How versed are you on suspension?

Sole purpose of aftermarket UCA is more about alignment and in many cases, moving away from the factory balljoint. Nothing really to do with lift. What are your goals? Have you read the suspension section of this thread?

2” Lift, Bilstein 5100’s and 885’s second notch, Rear 5100’s Icon 3 Leaf Pack and Firestone Air Bags w/Daystar Cradles. Spider Trax 1.25” Wheel Spacers, 4Runner Pro Wheels, Falken AT3W 285/75r17 (34x11).
I ran this same setup on my 5th gen 4Runner.

Nice setup, but I got the year when JBA was having issues with the boots, I think they fixed it by now.

Correct me if I’m wrong but are the 6112’s specific for 1st gen Tundra’s or are they the same ones for the 4Runner. I forget.

I totally forgot the JBA use a more-standard UBJ, I'm glad you posted those pics. Don't want to be spreading misinfo. I still don't love the welded tube+plate design of their arms, but I legitimately prefer a more-classic style "sealed" balljoint for reduced maintenance and noise.

If we go by what others on here have claimed on here in the past, almost none of the lift products anyone sells were made for Tundras, but adapted from others. A lot of times you can take the product number Bilstein's website spits out, then head to Google and search for the part number and a keyword like "Tacoma" or "4Runner" and if you come back with a hit, you know it's a shared product and was probably originally for those other models.

Could be interesting if anyone were to reach out to Bilstein and ask. I had spotty results getting non-standard questions like that to their team, though.
