Awesome man! Thats a perfect fit and a great deal. Mine has a space in the front corners as well, maybe a bit smaller, Ive never tired to fix it though...mine will leak only on occasion leak after a driving rain which doesnt happen that often here.

@602runner, Looks great! did you put the velcro on your talgate yet? If not I came up with a good way to use magnetic tape that works pretty well. I basically just ordered velcro and magnetic strip with adhesive backing and stuck the hook side to the magnetic tape then attached that to the softopper door. Works sooper dooper so far.

Not yet, thanks for the idea! Any concerns with scratching the paint? My tailgate is already beat up, but might help others.

I still want to get a tailgate pad to haul the bikes around, so I might try to put a magnet or velcro on that to attach the Softopper to. The tailgate pad will most likely stay on 100% of the time so loading bikes is quick and easy, and it will cover up the dings and scratches in my tailgate.

Less worried about scratching the paint this way than sticking velcro to the tailgate permanently. As long as it stays fairly clean, I'm sure it will be fine. I am not sure how that will work with the pad, I'll be interested to see!

I’ve got a soft topper from soft topper but when on highway at high speeds, the backend pulls in with wind pressure. The last bar with buttons would come undone and come loose off the bar. I’ve tried rolling the rear flap up and it’s no different. I have it buttoned up, zipped along with Velcro strips as instructed but doesn’t matter. Does anyone have this issue with theirs? I’d appreciate some advice on how to help prevent this issue.

Truck looks great. I like the black on black. Softopper website suggests going with a contrasting color instead of trying to match but yours looks really good. I keep debating on ordering the gray for my MGM truck or taking the OEM suggestion and going with black.

That’s a tough one but I think I’d go black. I think the Softopper grey is lighter than MGM and could look mismatched in your case. I also suspect black would have better resale.

that looks great. What rack are you running? Does it interfere at all with folding the top? How high is the rack off the rails- inside clearance and to top of rack. I’d like to do this, but having to watch my garage clearance. Putting my 3/1 kit on this week with 34’s. So may not have much left after that.

Sorry, I just saw this reply. The rack is custom. I haven't tried to fold up the softopper, but I think it would interfere with laying it down in front. My garage door is only 6.5', so I never could fit my truck in anyway.... Good luck with the lift, I am loving my Bilstein kit so far!

I like the fact you can remove and reinstall in 15 minutes. Usually put on around deer hunting season and take off around fedurary. During our beach vacation its also nice. Can fold up the side and block the sun while riding in the back .

Did you get resolution on this concern? I have the same. Ready to pull the trigger but if husky in the back can't participate with the family in the cab on the road its a non-starter.

It’s a long shot.. I have searched and googled may have to photoshop to see what I’m looking for but anyone have a smoked mesquite or sunset bronze would be close with a tan soft topper? Going to order one soon and torn between tan and black.

Found a great deal on a used one. I'm really digging it so far and love that it weighs almost nothing and can be folded up easily. I'm running a Decked drawer system so I was concerned that I would need to upgrade my rear suspension if I went the hard topper route.

Looks great, I have had my eyes peeled for a used one. I like the option of easy removal easy storage. How is the rear view mirror visibility.

Thanks! Rear view visibility is OK but not great. It's good enough to see objects behind you but it kinda distorts the image since the clear vinyl is sort of wavy. I can still see headlights behind me though. It will take a little getting used to and adjusting the side mirrors properly to reduce blindspots.

Doesn't sound too bad, but I guess you could always get the anytime rear view camera view wired up

Just got mine today took about an hour to put on. Was anyone else’s fabric ridiculously tight to get the buttons to snap? I went back to step 1 because I thought I might have done something wrong. It took longer to get the front and back snaps done on both sides than the rest of the install. That lady on the instructions video made it look super easy which is why I thought I did something wrong.21EB44AD-B6C0-45E4-B41B-BC26D927ABE6.jpg

They are usually tight to snap on. Especially when its pretty cold. I used to pull on the frame towards the back to help snap in the ones toward the tailgate. If i remember correctly i started from the cab and alternate and left and right towards the rear and that kinda helped

I have noticed the same, it's usually tighter when cold. Also you can tighten the straps at the corners a little more to get the snaps done, then loosen them if they seem too tight. I like to have an even balance between the snaps and the straps, you can tell by how the softopper is stretched.

Anyone camped in their bed with one of these? How's it do in terms of protection from the elements vs a traditional topper?

My in-laws road tripped/truck camped (2 months IIRC?) from their house on the Eastern Shore in MD, out to Wyoming/Colorado/Utah/Arizona with stops to sleep in the truck along the way out and back and had no issues with rain getting in. They did mention that your body heat creates a bunch of condensation on the inside of the topper overnight though. My topper isn't as watertight as the one they have on their 2010 F-150, mine leaks water where the caps cover the stake pockets on my bedcaps. Pain in the ass, I even pulled the caps off, ran a bunch of silicon caulk around the stake pockets and all down the bed rails and still have the same issue...

Just had our first big rain since putting the soft topper on mostly dry in the bed but I did notice along some of the stitches towards the back I can see daylight through the holes it’s about 15 stitches long and the only spot on all of the stitching where I can see light . It this normal? I know we got some Seam sealer but these are open holes in the stitching.

That’s exactly what the seam sealer is for. The canopy is pulled really tight in that area and stitches are holes through the fabric. Seal it! :)

Agreed on this! I did it quite heavy on my seams then flipped the sides up over the topper as it was installed for the sun to dry them seams out real well prior to re-snapping everything back together. Worked like a charm!
