Are you needing extra clearance for tires, or are you just wanting to do it because it’s just cheaper than a suspension lift?

Mostly for clearance.. once I regear I'm going to 38x15.5s.. So I'll need all the clearance I can get
I'm so damn excited lol just gotta wait till the regear

Can't wait to see it! Perormance Accessories are the best when it comes to body lifts.

That's what I was looking at.. they have 2 3" lifts on the site, about $200 difference.. I can't figure out why other than the nylon body blocks.. but idk the significance

What's the benefit of going for a suspension lift vs just a basic 3" lift? Does the price difference make that much of a difference? Are there any cons to either one? I want my truck lifted as well, like" maybe 4", and I don't do any off-roading and it's a 4x2.

A body lift raises the body only, doesn't change geometry of suspension. It's cheaper than suspension lift, but I wouldn't recommend it if your offroading. In your case your good. Your gonna have to make bumper adjustments and other modifications. I wouldn't go over a 3 " lift.

Why would I have to make bumper adjustments? Is that only needed when using spacers vs a real lift kit?

This applies to a body lift. If your just doing a spacer / leveling it out then your good.

body lifts are just blocks that they put under the cab to spate from the frame... in most cases I think they send bumper brackets so you can adjust accordingly. but im doing it just to run bigger tires.

Damn, you'll be able to see traffic 15 miles ahead of you....or drive over it!!:mudding:

I would make for sure you have rubber between the pucks, or buy a 2" body lift, use the factory rubber isolators and just buy longer hardware.

Im calling a couple shops today to see my options. my brother had a 3" body lift on his tundra back in the day, but he couldn't remember what it was.

this was my plan all along with this truck. but I gotta wait for the gears before I upgrade tires:annoyed:

I wanna sit level with the semi truck drivers lol

those are really pricey and I wasn't 100% sold on the quality.

ready lift has a lifetime warranty and with the addition of the body kift, that should get me exactly what I need to clear the wheels

50" Continental wheels.... Im not sure the size of the lift, but he towers over my truck still.

honestly, the pic doesn't even do it justice. Remember that's a F250. so its a big ass truck

    A LOT... NEVER ENDS
o_O people like that make us want to drop silly money (key word for ME is WANT... Some guys act on it which my wife is 120 pounds of fury and terrifying when mad)... I work with a guys has a RAM 2500 6 inch lift on 37's.... he parks next to me daily because he knows I have a 3" lift... He's such as ass... My wife keeps me disciplined:ballchain:....

This thread made me think... Thanks a lot @SullyMoto19 .... Raises the question of how would a 3" body lift look on top of a 3" suspension lift, would it be a bad thing to do? or should I embrace the ICON system I am prepping to order with rims and tires

    Im sorry!!! (kinda )

There are so many badass trucks around the Houston area... I know plenty of guys that had builds in SEMA last year that were just ridiculous.

I don't want a SEMA build, but I want to be different. just wanna stand up and stand out a little bit.

just happy I don't have a chick tell me not to buy parts aka a chick to keep me smart lol so I can be dumb a little while longer
