I'm getting ready to build some new retros. I want as much light as I can get without blinding oncoming traffic. Currently I have 35w HIDs and don't have issues. Anyone running 55w? And, do you have any issues with oncoming traffic?

    Retro's as in projectors, right?

I dont think many, if any, projectors can handle the heat of 55w.

    See fine print
I ran them before on a set of mini h1’s and it was fine. The light stays under the cutoff so you don’t blind anyone unless your lights are aimed high. I honestly think it’s not worth it. Spend the money on better projectors. Or even go with the new MLeD for less issues down the road maybe?
