Literally same wheels as yours. 17in rebounds on 35in duractracs... Just currently going thru balancing issues and trying to find a competent shop

Sweet! I had DT do the tires, not sure I'm totally happy but they offer free rebalancing. Then I used Firestone for the alignment and paid for the lifetime alignment option.

I switched to 17s on my 2021. At first I was a little concerned but happy to see others having success. My setup ended up being just fine.

Looks great! Can you take a photo showing how far the tire pokes out? Curious to see what a 295/70/17 looks with a 17x8.5 +10. Thanks!

    Stock, for now
Off roading / trails/ rock climbing or just an asphalt queen?
I really don't like the smaller rim size just because of the amount of tire wall profile.
I would do 18 or 17 if off roading.

How about asphalt queen with an option to off-road?

You can go bigger. I’m ran 295/70r17 on stock height before I put a 2” lift on. There was still room if you went up to 285/75r17. Just have to remove the front mud flaps and massage the liner.

It’s definitely subjective (beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that). As an over-the-hill dude, I’m more old school. I never liked the look of big diameter wheels on trucks, but I know they’re real popular nowadays.

Aside from subjective looks and more sidewall protection off-road, one of the main reasons I went with 17s was due to the lower cost of tires in that size, at least back when I switched a few years ago. I was able to save at least $400 for a set of 4. With the sale of my 18s, the proceeds and savings almost covered the cost of my Icons at the time. I haven’t priced 18” or 20” tires lately to compare, though, so it’s likely the price difference has decreased since then.

Thanks. I've already had the nfab bumper on when I got the wheels and tires installed, so not sure if it would've rubbed the bumper plastics. I was rubbing on the small front mudflap right behind the wheels.

Decided to go tall and skinny to see if I could retain some on road performance.. looks a little too anemic :notsure: ... truck is lifted about 3" with bmc.. Same wheels, now running 275/80r17 wrangler mtr.

Was the BMC needed for this tire size? Liking the "pizza cutter" look. Just picked up some RW wheels and debating what size tire to put on them.

For my set up bmc was needed. My wheels are 17x8.5 with 0 offset. Caster maxed out at 2.5degrees.. with higher offset wheels and better alignment, you might be able to get away without bmc.

Great looking combo. The bronze looks good with the white paint. Have you had any issues with tire balance or wheel weight placement? I think this wheel made the short list.

Just added Method 316’s (25 offset) with 285/75’s. Minor rub on front fender liner with a 1.9” 6112 lift.
