I'm due for some tires pretty soon. Currently have P275/65R18 Michelin LTX AT that came with the TRD offroad package. I have a longbed and want to potentially get a 3" lift, but tires are more realistic and necessary purchase at the moment. I go up into the mountains and get my truck into some fun stuff a good bit, so I'm considering tires that can handle some heavier rock. I don't want to get anything that is overkill though... After all I am in Austin Texas majority of the year. My buddy absolutely loves his Cooper Tires on his 2016 TRD Pro Tacoma.

I am curious to hear if any Tundra owners are using Cooper Tires and, if so, what line and your experience with them? I appreciate your time and consideration guys.

    Best,
    JT di Bari

about 30,000 trouble-free miles on my Coopers. They don't look like they've worn a bit either.

I love hearing that. I will look into the specs of these bad boys. I currently have 18" OEM TRD rims. Should I consider something else?

For wheels? Depends how much wheeling you do and sidewall you want to have. But 18s should be good!

I've got these same tires in 37s. My truck is 95% on road and these have been really smooth on the road

I've had the AT3, great tire and surprisingly good on muddy two tracks. Good in the snow.

Ive got the STT PRO’s. Ive had them for about 15k miles and have zero complaints. I will say, as they age they do get louder.

I’m thinking about going with the STT Pros when the Ridge Grapplers that came on my truck need replacing. What’s your honest opinion of their performance both on and off road?

Nice rig! I’d love 37s but I’d have to change up my wheels and probably front bumper to do it so I’ll probably be stuck with 35s the next go round

I feel as if they handle on road great! I havnt had the slippage with these as i did with my KO2’s. Off road just they do just as great as they do on road. The worst thing i can say about the tire is that i lost around 1-1.5 mpg vs the KO2. But overall completely satisfied.

Cooper ST Maxx on my '05. Very happy with them. I'm hoping they'll eventually make the AT3 XLT in 265/70/R17 so I can try those next.

I used to be a BF Goodrich guy, but since I put the Coopers on my wife’s FZJ80 Landcruiser I simply fell in love with them. They are very well made and wear out very evenly.

I had the ST maxx on my Taco.

I want them for my tundra but their 35” are 12.5 wide and I don’t want more than 11”

295-75-18 Discoverer AT3 XLT with the new updated sidewall tread Is lighter but it looks tame comparatively.

Hey, Chris. I was wondering what the reasoning was for a thinner tire?

It’s my work truck, camping truck. It does not go mudding. They are like 7 lbs lighter each and I got lighter rims. Less wind resistance , better millage, quieter. Better ride towing. Digs thru snow better. I don’t like the sticking out the side look. Wider would be closer to the cab mount and bumper.

I put a set on my Element and they really made a huge transformation both on and off road!

I have been thinking of getting some for the new Tundra now too.

I've had Cooper AT3s on my trucks for years. Had them on my 2017 TRD OR Taco and that thing was a mountain goat. As soon as my Michelins wear out on my 2013 Tundra I'm going back to the same tire. Probably 285s to split the diff between larger tires/looks/clearance and lying to myself that I'll get somewhat better gas mileage.

AT3 XLTs. Love them to death. Quiet on the road and work well in off road situations. I have not tested them in mud holes or snow myself but I have read they make a Snow rates version with the snowflake on it.
