Anyone try to paint, powder coat or rhino the OEM Stainless Steps ?

I had these on my last TRD and they held up flawlessly. So, I'm thinking this may be the way to go. Never had one issue in 5-6years New England weather 130K.... I just don’t care for Stainless/Chrome on this particular trim.

Tossing around the idea plasti dipping the brushed steel with a darker grey color and leaving the steps black, just to do something different without dropping a bundle.

Im thinking of doing the rhino on all my trim work. Eventually the plastic fender flares and trim work fades out, tough keeping it looking good with the paste product (forget what its called). A friend of mine did this to his raptor, it looks bad a$$.

Plus, it should help with the salt during these here Massachusetts winters!!! Seen a lot of OEM tube step bars that are totally rusted out.
