I don't agree with the huge front, lack of V8 and can't change my mind. CAFE standards are ****ing idiotic and it affects Mexico (where fuel economy is not even an idea entertained by legislators) and Canada.
If 3rd gen still had a V8 (a better and more convenient engineered version of the UR) I would have considered it and change the front to the Sequoia's... but no.

Disagree. I will never refer to 1st Gen stepside or slammed truck on rubber bands as "sexy". Certainly not when a truck is both things.

For me its the front end. Its like Toyota went to war with Chevy and that HD line up for worst front end design. The side profile from the tails to the mid front fender is good, but then it just takes a nose dive from the ugly tree and hits every branch on the way down.

Looks like Speedway Blue to me. That was a second gen Tacoma color for a limited time. Popular on the X-Runners.

I think they were 03-04. Maybe 03-06. I see em like once a week here there's a few around town. One used to be in my hood.
Had a guy offer me $300 plus his step side bed and tailgate for my fleet side bed and tailgate. But I never heard back from him. I was going to do it, because fuck it.

Each gen has something it does better than the other.
What I see at a glance is:
    1st- perfect size (subjective)
2nd- as long lasting as it gets (generally)
3rd- ride and tech. (Tech being good and bad)

frames were a serious issue on 1st gen. Mute point if you live in an area with no snow but a serious concern if you do.

The 6112's make for the best ride in any truck i've ever been in, and i'd like to see a 3rd gen play a cassette, cd, and bluetooth.

my gen1 had a remote for the rear passengers to control the radio I think? what a bizarre idea haha!
I hated looking at that cassette player dispite having fond memories of making a mix tape for the girl I liked back in the day ;)

I had to text @FrenchToasty and ask about that. I got a first gen sequoia for my son and I thought someone had turned the chime off.
