Haven't forgot about you guys! Juggling multiple projects right now.

    Update:
    Cut open the Tails. Little harder than the Tacomas..but nothing I can't handle;

Cut lines are pretty darn perfect for my first attempt:

    Sanded, and masked off:

    No more chrome!!(well..still a little)

    Mocked up back together.
The red tape is where I plan to Add the LEDS.
Utilizing the built in diffusers, I'm thinking 7 Red LED strips right behind them. Then, the outer part will be the Ratpor Glow bar.
And of course the chrome bucket will be AMBER turn, switches to WHITE reverse.
    Suggestions welcome!

Thanks guys. Goal is to make it looks as clean & stock as possible, while increasing the light output with a little blacked out flare.
Need to mock up the raptor glow, and cut out some plates for upper and lower sections (so the LED strips can mount to something.) I'll update when I get then in and lit up:)

Damn that was fast! They look awesome. Ready to throw down on a set when they are available.
Are you planning on including the switchbacks with selling price or is that on the buyer to order? Also if you have switchbacks up front would you need another set of 6ohm resistors for the rear?

NICE. I'm in. Love my retro headlights, need something to match and haven't liked the Spyder or Winjet stuff. How much for the Tacoma ones? My wife has a '16 Tacoma TRD Sport. Those would look killer on her truck.

If you get a core exchange type deal going these are gonna be selling as fast as you can make them IMO.

    Hey guys,
Sorry been busy with other LED mods....

I am on the fence about which housings to use as a donor.
I am leaning towards these aftermarket because it already has a perfect channel inside for my raptor glow bar to fit in:
Other than that it looks just like the OEM light. Although I would still black out the inside and do my LED upgrade.
Down side is I couldn't take OEM's for core trade in...
    Thoughts ?

Would the price for the retro'd tails be cheaper if you went aftermarket? Have you test fit these on a tundra to see how the fitment is? I am always a little skeptical of aftermarket lights with these kind of things. But I'm sure which ever way you go they will look BA!

    None, yet....
My opinion on this is that the aftermarket ones will be sub-par compared to the OEM housings. The OEM housing will have a more robust venting design structure and probably material and most definitely QC. I've never held a set of those so I am making assumptions, but it would be nice to have a separate set of lights to go back to, should one want to go back to OEM. My concern as mentioned, would be the quality of the light prior to it getting to you.

Those are ok. I just can't stand the chrome, the the Christmas tree LED's can defiantly be brighter. One thing they got right IMO is the Glow bar.
