If so, how was it? Do you have a lift? Lockers? Did you winch? Did you change your underwear?

Maybe a stupid question, but is this in WY?

I thought I read somewhere that it had been permanently closed after the most recent rollover death. I recall reading that about a year ago or so. I'm trying to find it. If it is open, I wouldn't do it in a Tundra. Wheelbase is too long and the turning radius is garbage. Those things and the consequences for mistakes isn't just a dented fender or bumper make it a no go.

I drove by it last year in my FJ but didn't do it... will be out west this summer and was curious about taking the Tundra up it... there is an early episode of Expedition Overland where they tow a trailer up it... seems like that was a mistake... figured if they could get a trailer up it... that a tundra should make it...

That's quite the drive for you.

It should be doable with careful spotting and good traction devices. I always get a little seat cover suction on trails like that with my off-road rig. Only saving grace is I have an atlas transfer case with the ability to run front wheel drive, lock the rear tires, front dig and turn on a dime.

I go out west most summers. Stopping by slee to have some step sliders put on... then b-lining for the Wyoming line. Plan on exploring the greys river some, then headwaters of the green, then spend some time in the Beartooth-Absaroka. I might finish up in Flagstaff at overland expo west before heading home

Sounds like an amazing time. Make sure you do a trip report.
