This cable was next to the tire pressure rest button... But I can't seem to find what it was connected to. I was removing the lower dash panel and it was just hanging there by itself. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Are there any optional features for your model year that you don't have? Security system, parking sensors, automatic high beams, folding mirrors, etc.? It could be to any of these that your truck just didn't have installed.

my guess also is that it is an option that you do not have.

Yeah, no worries at all. Tons of these trucks have extra cables and bits for options that they weren't sold with. It's cheaper for Toyota to use a universal wiring setup and just leave off the buttons/switches for options that aren't included on any given truck. If you can figure out what option it is, you might be able to add a switch and gain the feature though. I know people have done that with the automatic headlights. They add the different stalk and *wham* instant upgrade. Not sure what years it applies to, or what options it works on, but it may be worth investigating.

Usually optional wiring for accessories that you don't have are taped up securely to prevent rattles. Did you have the panels under the radio removed? I remember seeing a plug like that on the heater controls or USB plugs. Maybe the back of the radio?

I had the exact same wire. It was just plugged into the next hole over for a feature I didn’t have.

I found the same 2 wire connector when I put in my light bar, thought maybe I snagged something pulling the harness thru, but all the buttons worked and I do have a blank on the lower 3 switch panel, so I assume it goes to whatever switch isn't installed on my pro.

That could be for the glass breakage sensor.
