Omega is a nice watch. Is there sentimental value to you??? If so, I'd take it in to an authorized dealer and see what they'd charge to clean/tighten everything up for you. Then feel free to wear and enjoy for the rest of your life (or until you pass it on to someone else in the family)

If there's no sentimental value to it for you, then kinda the same answer... get it cleaned up and make sure everything is running right, then it would be ready to sell.

Pricing is all over the place (depending on condition, etc.), but here's an idea of what it could possibly be worth :monocle:

Pretty slick find and it's part of your family, like mentioned by Triple definitely find a dealer and have them generate an appraisal for restoration.
I would bet it still works and just needs a day at the spa for a polishing, Sapphire lens and a couple of O rings for the crown shaft.

    Pretty cool

It does still work. I Googled and didn't find any dealers here in Tucson, found 2 in the Phoenix area.

If you do consider having it restored Absolutely go to an authorized dealer, or contact them by phone get a name and if possible ship it certified with signature required to them.

Definitely a cool find, have you asked family about your Grandfathers history on it?
You might learn something about him you never knew about.

Good idea on shipping it. Nobody left in my family to ask, both parents and grandparents have passed.

Only two so not really a collector, but I have a Omega Seamaster with the blue face that my wife bought 22 years ago when we married (was a James Bond fan in the 70s and 80s) and a 1929 Illinois Bunn Special (pocket watch) that I inherited from my Great Grandpa who used it on the job for the Baltimore and Ohio railroad.
I had it serviced in 2020 and carry it often (on a leather strap). The person that serviced it (American Timekeeper) did a great job restoring it and took great pictures.

Just picked up my Grail for my 40th (upcoming in July). Rolex Sea Dweller reference 116600 "SD4K". Arguably the best mechanical diver ever made.

I got mine for my 50th a couple years ago. Mine came on the bracelet but I'm a rubber band guy, so swapped it out with an AliExpress Jeulong.

    Love it.

Haha yeah I'm really just kidding. I originally wanted a vintage SD, but since this will be my daily driver, I really wanted the modern movement, solid bracelet, glidelock, ceramic. That double red is truly beautiful man!

Thanks man. Most people don’t know what it is and I do not wear it unless it’s a special occasion.

I don't blame you, what's the story with it? Buy it for yourself or was it passed down?

Honestly I do not have that job I could wear it every day, lol,I could wear it every day but it would get destroyed.
    I do wear it every chance I get,meaning 4~5times a week.
My lovely wife got it for me as a wedding present.
This is my daily driver and it can hold it's own.
