Not at all. Sure, better gas mileage would be great...but reliabilty is better. Plus, I bought mine in March 2020, and got a smokin' deal on it.

 

2021 Platinum - Love it. Does not have wireless charging - but Sparks has it for 160 bucks. Taking a long trip pulling a 6500 lb camper this summer. Monitoring pan temp via Scan Gauge. As others have said if I want the cooler then will be added after warranty...

 

Only regret is not buying two!!!!

Did add a transmission cooler that in my opinion, and the window sticker says should be there.
That's my only bitch.

 

I love mine. At about 1.5 years old I usually start looking for the next thing. Haven’t even thought about it with the tundra. Checks every box.

 

Like my '21 a lot. Definitely don't regret not waiting for a '22.

My only regret is my '21 seems to have less pep and definitely noticeably poorer fuel efficiency than my '18 Tundra.

 

My only regret is not getting a Platinum with vented seats and color matched grille, but the Limited is more than adequate.

The rest of the mods would have happened regardless, and I love the overall truck.

 

What’s your favorite things from upgrading?

 

I regret it did not come with more HP or a supercharger just for kicks?

I've been contemplating it.

 

It made a huge difference when towing (Just my modest 2000 lb boat). Before cooler regularly saw pan temps in mid 230’s. Now it doesn’t even break 200 degrees in the pan. Several threads on here with tons of info and debates on whether to add it or not. I obviously went with it and happy I did.

 

I've read the threads, there is NO DOUBT that it helps tremendously. We have had the truck about a year and a half and only have put 6000 miles on it, have not towed anything with it. I have a work truck, Ram 2500, that we tow the travel trailer with.

Its the Setrab kit from Genuine Cooling Systems. I installed it myself. If your mechanically inclined and have the tools its pretty easy.

 

Toyota should regret not putting a 10 speed transmission on the old tundra

 

How long did it take start to finish?

 

Does B&M still make the "stacked" trans cooler units? I had one in my Tahoe years back that I installed. Built HD.

 

I’m very meticulous and take my time with projects. It only took 3-4 hours.

Honestly I had a more difficult time installing my cat shield/skid plates.

 

I have no idea about B&M. The Setrab is HD though.
