No regrets. Either buy it or stay home in the cold winter. Yeah a Transmission cooler would have been nice but towing ~6,000# TT in S5/4 & T/H keeps the temps reasonable. Towing in D is asking for problems due to the abundance of unnecessary shifting. I may add one if Toyota can assure me my warranty will stay intact.
My biggest complaint is the dash lights don't dim enough for night driving. Trivial but bitchers gotta bitch.
Even if I had a choice of what truck to purchase for dragging the Vintage Cruiser 23RSS south for the winter and back north for the summer I don't think any other 1/2 ton comes close to Tundra for our needs. Plus, my wife likes the red color.

Did you know that’s adjustable? It can go very dim. The tiny knob sticking out of the plastic gauges cover on the left side adjusts brightness. (The one on the right selects between odometer and trips.) Also, under Menu on your screen, you can turn the display completely off. I keep my gauges backlighting very dim and my screen off when driving at night.

Yes. One step dimmer would be perfect. I am rather particular in protecting my night vision from bright lights. Yes, to the point of lowering the visor to block the bright LED traffic signals and some street lights.
It can take up to 30 minutes to fully adjust to the dark after seeing a bright light. With some simple precautions one can retain better night vision while driving.

None. I'm part of the group that waited for the '22 reveal and then rushed to find a '21 to get into.

Love my 2019 limited MGM. Purchased in October of 19 and have been pulling a camper the last 2 years with it with no issues. Can’t beat the V8. Makes me smile every time I start it up.

No regrets at all. I have a scan gauge monitoring trans temps, rarely over 210. Other than gas mileage, could not be happier.

They want 46k+tax/tag for an XL crew cab! Why on earth would you want that when you can get a 21 SR5 tundra DC for 44k OTD! If it wasn’t for Covid I probably would have bought a F-150 but I got so fed up with them acting like they’re premium trucks with fancy interior but in reality have subpar mechanical systems. You can’t charge top dollar for something that’s going to break right after the warranty is up!

Mine was 43.5 OTD and the F150 at that price point didn’t come close to the Tundra…

Oh man, I paid just under 48 for the SR5 DC, 4x4 with basic off-road.

    No regrets but…
Disappointed that my 21 I bought in September is sitting at the dealership getting the front end removed to replace the steering rack as I type. Toyota did not handle this Recall very well on the front end. I hope the dealer does a good job and I don’t have any issues moving forward.
Overall I love everything about my truck. It has enough Tech to make me happy and not wanting more. The color is perfect and plenty of power.
I knew I didn’t want a 22 with a turbo v6, so I looked long and hard to find the truck I have.

The only regret I had with mine was that it was white. Now first off, I wanted white. But I am also pretty anal and installed protective film on the entire front end (TRD Sport...everything is painted) including bumpers, headlamps, partial hood, partial fenders, etc. It took about 10 weeks for the edges of the film to collect dust and dirt and start showing as dark lines all over the place. Could not scrub them clean. I have the same film on my silver Hondas and even after 4 years I do not notice the lines. So, in hindsight, getting a non-white vehicle would have been a better choice knowing I was getting the film. And I had my choice that night...Barcelona Red or SuperWhite...sigh.

I wanted a white one and ended up with a 21 army green as that is all I could find locally. White ages nicely in the sun and shows less pinstripes.

I managed to scoop up mine in December of 21 with a build date of 11/21, just so happened to be the exact package I wanted and found it locally. Bought it a few weeks before it showed up. All smiles literally every time I get in the truck. Hands down most solid truck I've ever owned. Sad to see the model go but it was time by society / Toyota standards.

No “ragrets” or “regerts” either. I look at my truck every day and say damn I love that thing. I also look at my ford and say the same thing. Ordered 2 tacomas and another tundra before I got what I was looking for. My dealer was happy because he said if I don’t buy the others he will sell them tomorrow. When my tundra came in I showed up two hours after it got dropped off. As I was looking it over another salesman took a deposit on it over phone. Haha. I still got $5k off sticker in April 2021. Just in time before things went completely nuts.

    I’m with the majority!

    No Regrets.

    2021 Limited Double Cab.

I wasn’t planning on trading in my 2017 Sport Edition Tacoma (The Mutant Taco) but after seeing pictures/videos and reading numerous magazine articles on the new 22 Tundras….. I immediately started my search for the last of those magnificent V8s!

Placed my order, waited about 2 months, got the call it had arrived and rushed to the dealership to pick it up. After going over everything with my sales guy I then stopped by the parts department to pick up the goodies I had already ordered.

Drove straight home and “Let the mods begin”.

I haven’t had any issues to date but then again I don’t do much driving nowadays.

Got my 21 Off-road Limited at the end of August for MSRP. Loved that the Tundra was oldest new truck on the market. Just got it ceramic coated and ppf. Added the bed step and remote tailgate lock. The silly Tundra stickers on the back lol.

I love my 2020 MGM 1794 with TRD OR. Paid 48k for it new in May of 2020. It literally had 1 mile on it. I’d buy another one if I had the funds.

13 MPG @ $4.00/ gallon is miserable even among other full size trucks. In retrospect at this level of efficiency I should have bought a 3/4 ton.

Having said that I do really like the truck overall and I'm glad I didn't buy a '22. The '22 is terrible.

No regrets on this end. Bought mine in February 2021 and been using it mostly for long interstate distance trips. Don’t tow with mine so transmission cooler is not a factor. Given the expected lifespan of the truck (i.e., 500k miles+) I don’t expect to have to buy another truck.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    no regrets. '20 1794 4x4

    added a Harrop @ 9psi
    trans cooler
    traction bars

    it purrs.
    it screams.

I'm 65k into it - all in. Which I believe is cheaper than the '22 1794.

    I appreciate the '22 redesign.

I wish they would have put the hybrid crap on the 5.7 - as an option.

Loving my '21 CM 4x4. I almost waited too long and had a hard time finding one in late Dec 21. Traded a '17 CM 4x4 with 75K. Had to drive to Richmond Indiana from ABQ New Mexico to get it. Also had to wait because they could not release it to me due to the steering recall. Finally got it in mid Feb. WELL WORTH THE WAIT. This is my 4th Tundra and it is going to be a while before I even think of getting a newer one.

It will take a good 5 years before Toyota gets all the bugs out of the redesign. Wish all you beta testers luck. Make sure and get an extended warranty.
