For sure the 2026 will follow the 2025. Bet on it. As for anything else....a fool and their money are soon separated. Buy low sell high and vote often. Dewey Cheat'm and How is happy to represent you in your legal adventure.

It would have to be at least 6.2, lol.

this thing walks all over my 2016 350 towing so I’m not sure I’d go back

I think days of v8 are unfortunately over.

All Toyota has to do is figure out the throttle lag issue with this v6 turbo.

However I do miss days of instant response of my Hemi, which I took granted for a decade while I owned it. I couldn't imagine that a brand new truck in 2022 could possibly have such Turd throttle response

Yeah I’m sure the V8 is over. But I would loved to have seen Toyota mate it with an 8 or 10 speed trans before completely abandoning it.

One of these days I’ll get around to driving a 3rd gen and I’m sure I’ll like it, but man theres just something about a V8.

And it probably would get the same fuel economy as the V6 if it had a 10 speed transmission.

Those rumors circulating about a TTV8 a few years ago had me hoping, but alas, it was not to be. :(

Probably not, but the old v8 was pretty reliable and it sounds great.

Are you expecting it to change in some meaningful way?

    Look at the 2nd gen:
    2007-2013 same truck
2014-2021 same truck with a face lift and deleted interior options
-2015 got a bigger gas tank
-2018-2021 got Toyota Safety Sense (more nannies :D)
-2019-2021 lost the external transmission cooler

Toyota generations do not change much at all for a VERY long time.

The Sequoia and new Tacoma have better grill / front bumper treatments for sure. The Tundra would look much better with similar.

Would these new Tundra's be Gen 4's?

If so, does that mean that I will become a Gen 4 hater! I will be saying things like my TTV6 is better than your TTTV4 and things like that :)

I drove my brother-in-laws chevrolet a few months back ( was my dads before he passed. 2007 I believe with the 5.3. Before all the torque management was ridiculous and electronic throttles. . .I know it's slower that our trucks but the throttles response was insane compared to today's standards. Didn't have to wait 2 seconds for a downshift and throttle.

Toyota didn't kill the V8, it's alive in Lexus.
