So I just picked up A new 1794 edition tundra and I love it. I have owned tacomas before but this is my first tundra. Is there any must do mods? I ordered a bed cover and im putting in a spray in liner. What should I look at next

Center console tray and divider. Many to choose from on Amazon or Ebay. These two items let you organize in the huge abyss of a space.........

I'd probably check out nerf rails or rock rails. That's always one of my first mods on a truck. Or, a supercharger...:D

The truck actually came with side rails but I like where your head is at with the supercharger tho.

Not really a mod, but I highly recommend a good leather cleaner/ conditioner. I use the chemical guys on my 1794. Gotta keep that leather looking beautiful!

One of my must haves after I’ve done it, switching to coachbuilders shackles in the rear. The shackles are great but what really made it was the polyurethane bushings in the leaf spring eyelet. It just frees up the articulation of the rear end.

But the shackles and bushings do work together. The new shackles just need the truck feel more sure of itself LOL. Like less jiggle because they don’t flex side to side.

+1 on center console organizer. I added a slim toolbox to organize emergency and recovery gear, but sounds like you’re going with a topper. My friend added a 2x12 as a divider in the last notch of his bed to keep things from rolling to the front. He mainly uses this for firearms and ammo transport, but would be nice for a recovery strap and jumper cables too.
The only other thing I did was add Light truck rated AT tires in 275/70/18 because I wanted the look and durability for light duty off road. We just did a camping trip that involved a 4 mile rocky road and appreciated the piece of mind. But if you aren’t going to do any off road keep the stock tires. I am actually of the opinion to leave the suspension stock unless you are planning pretty heavy, frequent off road trips. This means beyond a fire road

I have a 2018 1794. Hated the OEM mats. First thing I did was putting in Husky mats. If you're in NJ, you might want a remote start for the winters.

I like the husky fronts, but weathertech has better rear coverage. I’m not a big fan of the husky rears, they’re rubbery and don’t fit perfect. Maybe a good idea to mix and match.

My husky rears seem to fit perfectly. How much better do the weathertechs fit? My rears go all the way under the seats, if I remember I think husky might make two types for the rears

I bought the husky that go under the seat. I then put in the storage unit under the seat and cut the rear mat around it. Worked out perfect for me.

    Welcome aboard from Oregon!
    Beautiful truck!
As previously mentioned, modifications to the enormous console is pretty obvious. Dividers are one route. My preference is for a locking vault. It’s big enough for binoculars, iPad, wife’s purse, and a pistol. There’s several varieties available.
Another easy and beneficial mod is to add the driver side grab handle.
