Any experience with the built in 1 Touch Up & Down for window controls?

just got mine this morning (they ship from Southern California if US stock) and already installed. very nice. Time will tell if the product lasts.
I picked blue color and it is very subtle.

 

Does the blue match the rest of the interior lights well or is white the better choice?

 

I was wondering this exact thing.

 

I have the blue (just the driver's door unit). It is a hair darker, but not by an annoying amount. If it were right next to the standard lights it'd probably be noticeable, but since there's some distance from the other lights I think it meshes well (I also love blue on anything so maybe I am biased).

 

I got the white and IMO matches the dash better. Also, no issues with the unit and I recommend this mod to everyone with a Tundra.

 

one thing I noticed, the relay clicking few seconds after you press the button. Not very loud but noticeable. I don't recall the oem one doing it. I might be wrong though.
example: press AUTO driver side then maybe 3s after (windows is up already) I hear one little click

 

That was discussed at some in here. The switch has no way of knowing where the window is so the 'AUTO' function is just a timer that is long enough for the window to be finished closing

I purchased via amazon to have some peace of mind also it was 127$ for the whole kit for black friday. To my understanding this is the same manufacturer as the vendor that was linked in here, correct me if im wrong. However, I received my switches today and the driver master switch is already having a issue. All but my driver side backseat window works. This includes at the master switch with the aftermarket assembly along with the oem switch of the rear backseat door. Plugged my oem master switch back in and it works perfectly fine. I went ahead and contacted amazon and the seller for a course of action but not happy with it so far.

 

I just installed mine and I love it, I went with the blue light. I should of done this when I first got my truck.

This is what was linked in the OP, and what many of us have purchased directly from the manufacturer. Initial runs seemed to have the same issues that you are experiencing but they seemed to have fixed the bugs/ glitches on units purchased/shipped after June 2022. Just about everyone who had trouble reached out to the manufacturer and was shipped a new unit within a week to 10 days. I'm guessing some of those early run units that didn't get sold have found their way to scamazon.

 

gotcha I have that feeling now too. I also noticed the oem had that bluish tint to the plastic whereas the new one from Amazon is jet black. I also think that for some reason the white led options have had more issues reading through the post. I’m going to go ahead and start a return process then and order from op. Thanks guys.

Amazon might be selling the old switches that had some issues.

 

That’s what I’m thinking they are trying to send me a whole new kit free of charge I might give it another shot to not deal with the return process I’ll try to keep everybody updated

 

I just tried to "auto" roll up the passenger side window about 4 times in a row, then remembered these were on sale.

Got all 4 doors with the blue LED.

Trying to replace my stock switch but I’m a little confused on which option to choose.

Which option do I select to have all four windows on auto? Master drive switch? All switch?

 

The first option. "Master Drive Switch" will give you, the driver, the ability to Auto Up and Down all four windows. The other options are for the other switches located on each door.
The all switch will give the same functionality as the Master Drive Switch (since the MDS is included), but also replaces the switch in each door so each passenger can also Auto Up and Down their window.

For example, I have ONLY the Master Drive Switch. While I am driving I can Auto Up and Down all four windows. However, if I had a passenger they would be stuck with the stock switch which will do the standard non-auto up and down.

 

Just purchased master switch only in white (I never have occupants in the truck). When it's really hot out I usually slam all the windows down for a little while before turnign the AC on to get some of the hot air out, this should make it easier. Looks like it's coming from China? It had a free shipping option though.

 

They take a while to arrive, but not horrible.

Ordered but they require setting up a phucking PayPal account. I only went so far in doing so, if it frappes because of my reluctance to do so, the hell with them.

Hey Grant - where did you find the "master drive" switch? I can't seem to find that on their site.

EDIT - nevermind, I am an idiot.

 

I ordered my set on Monday (1/1/2024) and the tracking info I got says it should arrive by Saturday (1/6/2024). From City of Industry, California.

Once the kit gets here, I will cancel the stoopid PayPal account forthwith.

Why didn’t you just order it through Amazon then? I did and shipping was free and quick. I’ve had mine for a couple months now and loving them.

No issues here with either PayPal or Amazon they’re both batting 1k for me.

 

Switch set arrived a day early (yesterday instead of today). I just installed it - piece-o-cake. Kit even included the plastic "crowbar" needed to pry the switch module from the door. Works perfectly!

I am slightly concerned about the delay in shutting off the relay with the "Auto-Down/Auto-Up" on the passenger side window and both rear windows. With my stock switch set, I had "Auto-Down" on the drivers side window and the relay clicks off immediately when the window completes it's "Down" travel. With the new switch set there are a few seconds before the relay triggers (in either up or down auto).

So as some may be aware, for Limited trim owners where the master control switch has double AUTO (and the front passenger switch is AUTO as well), the item you can buy at Cartrimhome only comes with the master control switch, and no options to replace the rear switches to AUTO (again, the front passenger switch is already AUTO). I want the rear passengers’ switches to have AUTO option as well. Several people have mentioned this, and I don't have time to go back and read the reasoning... Basically they are set to go up and down for a certain amount of time as opposed to the OEM switches being set differently.

If you go back a few pages, someone explains it. Nobody has had any issues, you should be good to go.

My wife bought her 2017 Sequoia about 6 months before I bought my 2018 Tundra. On her drivers side window controls, she has stock auto up/down for both front windows (drivers and passenger). One thing hers does (that mine doesn't) is traverse about twice the speed of mine, both up and down. My windows seem to crawl in comparison, even with the engine running which would supply a bit higher voltage.
