Clarify? If the CL 6 cable is blue, and it's plugged into a blue port, that's incorrect.

Blue from Carlink goes to blue input on harness. Black output on the harness goes to the blue antenna port on the CL6

This is how I have it after finding the correct install instructions. My issue was that I did not have the other smaller cable as well.

That's not how I programmed my Fortin. It was all thru the valet button. Do you have a valet button? If so, try below. If not, let me know and I will tell you how to make one.

STEP 6. LEARN THE MYCAR TELEMATICS DEVICE TO THE EVO-ONE
In order to communicate with the remote starter, the telematic system must be learned to the EVO-ONE.
1 - Cycle the ignition to the ON position.
2 - The YELLOW LED on top of the EVO-ONE should come ON.
3 - Press & Hold the EVO-ONE programming Valet button for 5 seconds.
4 - The RED LED on the side of the EVO-ONE will Flash rapidly.
5 - Release the push button.
6 - Press & Release the push button 5x times. Every time the push button is pressed the parking lights & the RED LED on the side of the EVO-ONE will blink.
7 - Then Press & Release the Brake pedal.
8 - At that same moment the RED LED on the side of the EVO-ONE will blink once to confirm that the Telematic device ID has been learned to the EVO-ONE.
9 - Cycle the vehicle’s ignition to the OFF position to Exit the EVO-ONE programming.

I emailed StartX yesterday and they sent me this and its how I finally got it working last night

The protocol in the app should be set to Fortin.
In terms of physical installation connect using the ascl6 adapter labeled HRN-LLRS-01.
    Program it like this:

    1. Turn the key ON-OFF-ON (red led will turn on)
    2. Press and release brake 4 times (red led will flash on each brake press)
    3. The Red LED should be blinking..
    4. If the MyCar sent the learn command, the RED LED would briefly stopped blinking.
    5. If not, send the lock command from the app

My issue the entire time was that I was missing the second adapter cable I think.

I think you can, but you need to flash it using the flashlink, set protocol to Fortin 2.

Reviving this thread. Looking hard at getting one of these starters but curious if anyone has any experience with whether disconnecting the battery messes the programming up? I unplug mine when it sits for extended periods (work bs) and dont want to have to rip the dash apart to access and reprogram every time..

The longest I did was about 12 hours without power. No issues with the Fortin EVO or the Carlink.

Just installed a Start X in my 20019 Tundra. The remote start works as advertised. However, I now have a warning that my RCTA - Rear Cross Track Alert - Failure see dealer that was not present prior to install. Did anyone else experience this issue? I have the system turned off for now. I triple checked the connections and everything appeared to be correct and emailed the manufacturer.

Did it go away once you turned on the ignition and stepped on the brake?

oops I guess I should have added that to my post. The warning is present after stepping on the brake. I have cycled the system and Truck on and off several times.
