Any Canadians taking delivery of their 2022 yet ?

I would say you should expect the terms to change.

Even if you signed a contract, in legal terms it would be void as you likely singed a deal for a 22 but will be getting a 23. Additionally the deal would have likely indicated the mileage of your trade in.

You may be eligible for a 1% rate reduction if your Tacoma came from the same dealer.

I am in a similar position. Ordered a 22 in December 21. Will be getting a 23 next month (fingers crossed). Price went up $2000 and interest rate has doubled woo hoo...

 

It can be either case, have they provide a VIN? usually once its in transit they will provide a VIN.

Did you sign a sales contract? if you did, they have to honor the trade-in price.

Many dealer will take deposits then put in an order, even before final price is set.

For those of you are dealing with Toyota Financial, shop around, the rate simply sucks, Scotia Bank right now is doing 5.9%, you can ask your dealer to shop around, since in this case they'll act a broker and still get their fees when you finance with someone else, I'd even try local credit unions.

 

From what I've read and heard, the interest rates can only be "locked-in" for 90 days at most. After that, it's all over.

But do agree, trade-in value, interest rates, etc are huge factors.

 

Oh man, I am in the very same boat.
Ordered first days of May in Calgary, was told Oct / Nov. As of now it's MY2023, beginning of the year (but I believe it's more like a first half), was quoted with 3.99% and assured it'd go down ) I know), my Tacoma has already 10k more on the odometer...
The paper we both signed states "equity held with vehicle in same condition" and I asked him about the mileage - obviously it was going to be higher - and he replied "it's about the state the vehicle is in, not the mileage".
It's a mess, we will see.

Nothing new? Nobody is taking deliveries? Inventory's dead?

 

My dealer called me up and offered a Silver iForce Max Limited without TRD OR, and I passed on it.

 

Truck was supposed to arrive by the 20th.... I'm told it should be here any day now. It has been "released to truck loading" so it's probably sitting in a lot a few hours away

 

I would do the same, I'm afraid.
Not too many Tundras driving around Calgary but while I've seen some hybrids none of them were TRD OR.

Funny thing is, I drove past the exact model/trim/color (as said silver one) on a major road earlier today. There aren’t TOO many of em around... and I could swear that was it.

I don’t think I could stand the feeling of driving that one around, and then see the truck I really wanted on the road 6-12 months later. Holding out for now.

 

I just got a call from the dealership that I bought my truck from. The original one I ordered is on the lot and is waiting for a buyer.

It is a Limited long box in Blueprint.

How's your salesman? Are you getting any updates? I've "ordered" mine beginning of May from Canyon Creek and originally was told it was going to be Oct / Nov, then end of year, then start of the new year and now: hopefully we'll know more early next year.

 

He was fine. They offered it at MSRP. They thought fall for delivery but were honest that they didn't really know. He has since moved on and I drive the new kid nuts every other week following up, but he always responds.

 

So pretty much the same.
I am in contact with Heninger too because that's where I got my Tacoma from and yeah, they're all in the dark. Nobody knows anything.

 

Seems like it. They sound flexible on accessories which is positive. I plan on lifting the truck, wheels and tires, and vinyl wrapping upon delivery which isn't cheap so they seem willing to avoid the "you get what you get" accessories game some dealers are pulling where the dealer installs thousands of dollars in crap you don't want and says "take it or leave it"

 

That's exactly what Heninger is doing hence they've lost my business this time.

This was a cancelled order and it came with Tow mirrors but I find them way to big and it obstructs my view. open to trading these mirrors for the regular ones but has to have the cameras.

He changed the tune already. It's March-April now.

I ordered mine on 15 March 2022. Yes 2022. I’ve been told I’m, 3rd, 5th, 9th, 7th, and now 5th on the list. I’m going out this weekend and looking at similarly equipped Silverados and Rams. If I can get a reasonable delivery date, I think I’m going to take one of them up.

 

It sucks! I put a deposit down May 6 and still nothing in sight. My salesman won't even tell me how many Limited TRDs he needs to deliver to others before my turn. So after searching and searching and loosing patience I am set to pick another one up somewhere else early May. So it'll be over a year for me too.
