Another muffler thread

    Howdy folks!

    This past weekend, I brought home a 2018 TRD Sport that needs an exhaust upgrade. I have some Tundra exhaust experience:

    1) I had a 2007 reg cab 4.6L with a Banks cat back. It sounded cool but the drone was unbearable until I cut the tail pipe to dump behind the axle. Problem solved.

    2) I then had a 2010 dbl cab 5.7L with hi-flow cats and MBRP cat back. It sounded cool but was way too much for the neighbors or my 100 mile daily commute.

    3) After those, I had a 2021 Chevy 6.2L that I replaced the muffler with a Borla Pro XS. The note and volume were absolutely perfect! No drone!

    I was intending to replace the muffler on the new Tundra with the dual in/single out Borla Pro XS, #40349, but came across this post that makes me doubt: https://www.tundras.com/threads/borla-40349-muffler-install-now-w-resonator.60358/

    My goal is to create a good growl, no snaps/cracks, and no drone. I'm just looking for a clean, deep tone/rumble without investing in a full cat back. Also, I live in the salt belt so 304 stainless is preferred.

    I can vouch for Keith above. I called him and he custom tuned one of his existing systems to match exactly what I wanted. I’ve had the exhaust for about a week and can say it’s perfect.

    My wife ordered an 8” system on the website. But I called him directly and had a short conversation about my driving style, and our long road trips. We changed it to the 10” option and he changed the size of the pipes to keep the drone down, but comes alive when the pedal hits the floor.
