Earlier today I found a way to use a kinda hidden feature on the HU. When I was discovering the layout on the newly installed app Ulysse Speedometer, in the app you can pick wich app you want to run. I kept seeing the cam app and thought I'd give it a try knowing there is no front or rear cam on the tablet, but found it possible to get it to work off my front or rear cams. Now if I could just get the picture straight.

Ok. How do you turn my amp on? My volume is max out and is not as loud as it was with Gen1. I've try all of the different setting but this page everything is gray out.

I my opinion for some reason I believe the first gen was louder than the 2nd gen w/dials, what sound system do you have?

standard on pro. Not premium JBL or anything. The loudness is almost 1/2 from the gen1. I remember being able to changing the volume setting and amp on this screen but had to do with certain combination of setting to open up this setting.

One thing I have taken note of is that the 2nd gen does not get rebooted like the first gen did, that may be why things may take time to take effect.

Two thing's I would like to mention, in the first 24 hrs after installing the 2nd gen W/dials it was laggy and slow as shit doing anything, for some reason next day everything it was up to speed and I did not change anything (WTF?) The other is someone mentioned that they could not get sound out of one side (L or R). That did happen to me and could only get sound from all speakers from only the radio, only the passengers side speakers would work for anything else. I believe it was due to something I did messing with my internet connection. How I eventually restored all sound was going into settings, general and do a reset and had to do that twice and it did a shutdown and reboot and all sound was restored.
One thing I miss on the 1st gen was with a turn of a key you could shut down and reboot to start fresh or apply new changes made.
Please take all that have said with a grain of salt for I am no expert on anything unless I've had a few beers.

But still louder than the JBL Audio stock system, right? I’m assuming you have the JBL since you have a Platinum. Pretty much the main reason I’m getting the Phoenix HU is I’ve read it’s supposed to be louder than the stock JBL system...I sure do hope that’s still the case...

Mine isn't louder than Gen1. I still haven't figure it out yet. This thing got to many damn setting. I'm at max volume 40 right now. The gen1 would only be about 1/2 and its loud enough.

Yes the 2nd gen with dials/buttons is louder than stock. Just remember to walk down the hill and not run.

I haven't worked on a non JBL but sounds like the HU amp is not working. I'm sure you did check that your set to low tundra right?

Agreed, there are units out there that are exactly the same as the Phoenix HU, just with different brand names, but there are plenty of other Android-based units out there that are nothing like the Phoenix in form and/or function, made by companies such as Alpine and Kenwood.

I think you should create a new thread on its own for more answers, this one should really be titled Phoenix Android 12.1" Vertical Radio or something like that because that's what is being referred to and discussed here. Your post will end up buried.

I'm selling or returning mine. If you want it for the group buy price + actual shipping or free pickup in Denver, PM me. Nothing wrong with it other than the issues everybody is working through that they insist are programming issues. I'm just no longer willing to deal with it. It's one with buttons/knobs. I'll post in the buy/sell/trade after I get it out of my car in the next couple hours.

Yes, I check it out sometimes. Jodi says $550 group buy price won’t come around again. 15% off is for the 2007-13 Tundras, head unit for those not previously offered I think.

Hello team! I just installed my 2nd gen with knobs, and I have some questions hopefully someone can answer. I tried asking them on the FB page for Tundra Phoenix owners, but damn FB asked for a pic to verify my identity and I'm locked out until it does!!

I have a 2018 Limited with the Premium Package. So, it comes with AUTO AC, and the factory unit has temperatures. I changed the unit to TUNDRA HI, saved and rebooted, and verified it was TUNDRA HI, but it still only shows HI and LO where I believe the temps should be. Before I was kicked off FB (hopefully only temporarily :fingerscrossed:), someone said that they still don't have the temps fixed for 2018's yet. Is that accurate, or is there another setting I need to go into to get temps to show?

Also, I think I read here where someone else had @TundraTex's FRAC harness, and it worked. I can't seem to get mine to work. Can anyone give me wiring instructions on which male and female RCAs plug in together, and which male plugs into the back of the Phoenix HU? Also, are there settings I need to adjust to get the cameras working?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can assist!
