Btw, I tried to factory reset from the built in settings and physically by the pin on the unit but nothing changed at all although reseting to factory from android setting restored back the unit but still lag everywhere. I even tried tundra hi from Advance setting which screwed up the AC but after the reset its fine.

I don't think a wireless one is available yet, it's a dongle that looks like this in white or black:

It's off Toyota's site, so basically pick any transparent image you want. Not originally my hack, but these are steps:

    1. Download a pic off here, change the trim/color/view/etc https://www.toyota.com/tundra/ (it'll be a transparent png image with a white background)

    2. Resize it to 740x313, make sure whatever you use maintains transparency and exports in png (I used Photoshop but simple editors will do)

    3. Rename it ZXWLOGO.png

    4. Put it on a USB, use ES File Explorer and find it on your HU, hold down on the image, COPY; now go the the main HU folder and just PASTE it, you don't need to find the original

    5. Reboot, voila!

If you want to go back to the way it was, delete the image you just pasted in the main folder.

"Tundra HI" should only be used for Limited and above trims. If you are not in those trim levels, stick with the Tundra Lo.

Pertaining to your lag, it's hard to say what the issues is. It could be the unit itself. However you purchased it from a different vendor then most everyone else. Do you have lot's of apps running at the same time? Click on the double folder icon in the upper right corner and close any unnecessary apps and see if that makes a difference.

The seller said it is the fastboot version, boot up time was fairly quick.

Sorry I don't have a clear picture of the unit right now, but I'm sure it gen 2.1 with the AC controls on the sides. I'll mess with it again on Thursday

Got TomTom Go with local Can/USA maps installed, was a 5.9GB file. Good backup as Google local maps expire, and when I don’t want to use Waze data.

If your referring to the button illuminations then those settings are in one of the system apps. Got to your apps screen and it’s one of the apps on the left side. Sorry, don’t remember what is called

What’s wrong with Waze data? I’m beginning to really like the Waze nav.

Found a little time to mess with the Phoenix, for some reason the 2nd gen seems a little slower than the 1 gen IMO. Seem like things boot faster with the Ulysse Speedometer app.

I agree, Waze is great. For those times I’m over the border and not roaming, or if I’m running low on my monthly bucket of cellular data, I can just TomTom without network access, the negative being no live traffic, speed traps etc.

I turned my illumination off and put black tape over the hazard light. I’m accustomed to the button locations now in the dark.

Not with the stock tpms. Only works with the Bluetooth tpms that they sell.

Not true. I have stock TPMS and it works fine. Didn’t have to do any setup either. Just plugged in and worked. Sometimes it takes about 20-30 sec for the reading to come up though.

That’s interesting. You’re the first to report that it works with stock and the FB group is the ones who said it would not work. I’ll look at it again do you have 2nd gen?
