AMP Research vs Bestop Trek Step Tailgate Step

    :sigh. I’ll have to to do it myself. They want $150 plus tax to install and $250 for the part.

    I installed the Amp research step beneath the bumper of my F150. The Bestop was a little bit cheaper when I started looking into them. I ended up getting the Amp Research with a discount from Amazon and also I think it tucks a little better than the Bestop, at least on the F150.

    The AMP Research is an easy install on the Ford compared to the Tundra. Don't be deceived by the video. I did just see an install with the AMP (https://youtu.be/NdSWN619rzE) which was mounted to the side of the bumper. My Bestop mounts to the rear of the bumper, I'm not sure if that is an option. Good video to watch for the AMP install.

    I like this positioning. Looks easier to get in to the bed. Can’t tel if it’s easier coming down from the bed but I gotta get one of these.
