Dual motors on the RC is nice. Door sensors though.

Anyone with them on factory, could you measure this for me? Mine are mounted but not wired up yet. So I'm not exactly sure where they should be. I don't off road and I like the looks without any step. I don't mind these when they're retracted, makes the truck look taller when they're not hanging down.

The instructions basically say you just cut them to size to fit both the double cab or Sequoia's. I haven't taken mine off yet, but based on how they are put together, that makes sense.

Mine is mounted with that measurement 16" in the front, and 10" in the back. The instructions there say to mount the motors in the running board holes. I assume that's what they used.

I may pick them up and see if I can wire them to a different circuit instead of using door sensors. Don’t know if it’s possible though

I don't see anything like that in the instructions. Nor does it make sense that the mounting holes will even be the same between crewmax and double cabs.

I suspect they can be but we'd have to have detailed knowledge of the Tundra wiring harness. All the mag sensors do is show open circuit or connect to ground depending on door position so if you can find the door negative trigger wires and tap those, that should work. I have looked for that information before and not been able to find it, though.

Those are the Amps. And for 2nd Gen not 3rd. The Rough Country instructions are here:

You're spreading info in the wrong gen. I've installed Amps on both DC and CM. Where the motors mount on each side, they are not across from each other. So measurements from one side won't work on the other. That being said.

Anyone with a 2022+ WITH OEM power running boards. Could you measure there?

You could try the dome light circuit but both sides would deploy when any door is open. You could isolate them from the dome light switch also, so the don't pop out every time you turn on the dome light.

To whoever was asking about making deploy before you open the door. I know if my truck is locked, as I get say within 5-8 feet away, the interior light will illuminate part way. You could possibly use that to trigger a relay or transistor to then send power to deploy them. But again , both will come out.

The rough country function are pretty much universal. Meaning the only thing that controls them are the magnetic sensors. The only thing that makes them for our trucks is the hinges, on how they mount. You could put that sensor anywhere, like the hood or tailgate and it would trigger the step. My opinion is they use the mag switches to make it easier to install without doing any actual hardwiring. Smart but lazy.

Apologies. I got here through search and didn't realize the Gen forum I was in. Rookie mistake.
